Meant to put in Kreider plus Skjei for DeBrusk, Krug, plus one of Studnika/Fredric/1st

Why are we acquiring Krug? Were going to extend him at age 28, but not Kreider??

Doesn’t make sense.

Max you get back for Kreider, with maybe a draft pick attached from us, is Boston 1st + Frederic + Studnicka/JFK/etc

But Krug, Lindgren, Hajak/Rykov looks better than Skjei, Lindgren, Hajak/Rykov.

It's not so much swapping Kreider for Krug, its swapping Krug (28) for Skjei (25) and getting a young cost controlled banger to slot into the 2LW slot.

If Kreider is going gone, who replaces him? I want DeBrusk.

I dont see 3 years difference between Krug and Skjei as being a deal breaker for a kid like DeBrusk plus one of the 3 premiums future assets I required.

I dont hate Skjei . But he's just not a 1LD. Krug is.

He is a UFA. I would guess they would have signed him by now if they wanted to keep him.

I dont see them giving up DeBrusk + one of those assets for Kreider alone. That seems greedy.

Honestly would not have Kreider get on the plane. Let him stay in Detroit and get checked out tomorrow.

Because it’s that time of year, I could see the Oilers being interested in Fast. And I’d think they’d like to retain him beyond this season if they could. He’s proven he can play well with skilled players and plays hard defensive minutes as well. He’d help Edmonton balance out some of their scoring.
