Probably right handed though.Carolina wants a top 4Dman. Brady Skjei come on down!
Is Nemeth related to the Nemeth who was with the Rangers years ago?
A shame. But we can still call him ‘Broadway Joe’.Patrick Nemeth: Swedish, born in 1992
Steve Nemeth: Canadian, born in 1967
Only thing in common is the Hungarian surname

BTW, after night’s game, I assume we’re all on board with Greenway as a target, yes? Would love him on the third line and getting a regular shift on the PK and parking on the doorstep on the PP.
Not sure why Minn moves him, though.
When did he get hurt? He scored the game-tying goal with about 5:00 left in the 3rd period tonight.
Edit: looks like he was injured. Must've happened after the goal. That sucks, lol.
Nypost pumping up Staal trade value
I think Jim Benning is the only GM crazy enough to trade for Staal, but unfortunately he’s spent like all their cap space on replacement level players.Would be shocked if someone traded for him. Would likely require 25 to 50% retention or some other bad contract with the same term coming back.
Would be happy though if it happened

Still waiting for what KK does so great . Have not heard one person say he skates great or has an elite shot . Fact he has neither . I am not saying he’s not going to get better but penciling him on to fill CK Producton as a first line wing is ridiculous . The guy can barely take a 40s shift without looking like he’s going to blow chunks on the bench after . At 22-23 I’m sure he’s going to be a diff player but do you think all of a sudden his skating which is questionable is going to miraculously become elite . So please explain to me how he’s going to become a legit all star besides hype and draft position
Never said KK IS A bust . But I do feel that he is no where near replacing what CK brings to the rangers . At 23-24 probably but his skating , strength and shot are not elite NHL level and the only reason he’s in the league right now is draft position . He should be in the AHL and he def needs a lot of improvement on his shot and skating . He’s downright slow there’s no two ways about it and can’t play with NHL PACE right now .
I’m not the one who’s saying the rangers are gong to be better next year without CK and penciling KK AND VK in the top 6 . That’s lottery pick material top 6 .
Georgiev was confident enough to get a new mask painted up and debuted tonight...
Seems odd if nothing implied.
If I were Sakic I’d be doing damn near anything to win it this season. They’re ready

I think we saw a bit of what some bigger bodied forwards can do over a single game last night. Greenway was a difficult player for the defense to handle. If this team is serious about contending in the near future, they should look to add 1-2 guys who can play and add some size and strength to the forward group. Specifically when/if Kreider is dealt. Over a long playoff series it does make a difference.
In an era of hockey, skilled players with size are always a prized commodity. That's why parting ways with CK must be careful thought out
So I am going to copy and paste this from something I wrote in my PM group, but I think it applies most in this thread:
Personally, I'd love to be in the top 5 or 6 for this draft. But, at the same time, you can't force your way into that slot. It's not like we're icing a team with a bunch of vets with no future here in a desperate attempt to make the playoffs and save the jobs of the coach and GM.
We're icing a lot of young players, who are learning, growing and contributing, and that is and was always going to be the primary ob--ective this year. So we can't stop that, nor should we.
Ultimately, I think this team finishes in the 8-12 range, for the draft, as I always have. But everything these young kids are experiencing is VITAL to them and this organization.
But if this team can give itself a chance to experience what the excitement of "hunting" for success feels like, and then still come away with Lundell at say, 10th overall, sign me up every single day of the week.
DQ On Staal "His puck movement has been really good."
Are we sure Quinn isn't the one with one working eye?
