I largely agree with the above, but I will point out that if local authorities didn’t charge him, that won’t change after the results of a civil suit, which typically take years and operate under a completely different standard of evidence and proof.Allegations are absolutely not the same as convictions. But until we know either way, lets not sign him to a contract that would then require cap space to get out of. I did say potential piece of shit, implying that if they're found true, then yes he's a piece of shit.
I’m not convinced that firing Quinn wasn’t an edict from Dolan/Sather, a condition of him taking the job.
So if Eichel is out, I wonder if the NYR may actually be the ones who pay Danault
No. We have zero need for Zadorov. He's basically Ristolainen without the offensive ability and slightly bigger hits. What would you guys think of Georgiev for Zadorov?
That $21M will be gone in a snap.
3.5M raise for Zibs
8M raise for Fox
Shesty gets 2-3M raise
Chytil gets 3-4M raise
then we have to pay Kakko, Kravtsov and Lafreniere. If they have breakout years, that will be costly.
Would you give Shesty a 5x6M deal? or 6x6?
or
rather give him a 1-2 year, prove it contract?

No thanks from me.What would you guys think of Georgiev for Zadorov?

I'd much rather have Dvorak on a good contract than Danault on a bad one.
if you want to buy UFA years he's getting 3-4m aav.
The problem is that Chytil likely won't get an 8 year deal (although i happen to think that decision might bite us in the ass), but he's prob gonna get a 2-3 million because hes shown improvement every year.
Chytil isn't small, and can definitely play a physical game if he's given the opportunity/coaching on how to play that way more.3 year deal is rumored to be about 2.6 if he’s here with Drury wanting bigger players

Detroit gave Staal 2M
I get it, im just merely saying i think the bigger question is drury's own evaluation on the current players.I agree I’m just pointing out the players Drury has targeted so far
If we are looking at a stopgap, let's go for a veteran D. Not Zadorov who is demanding the biggest contract of his career. He has done one 2 year, and two 1 year contracts after his ELC. I'm sure he wants a longer deal now. What's our LD depth lol
Lindgren
Miller
Jones
Robertson
Hajek
I'm pretty sure they're looking for a stopgap LD
Bonino, Helm, Krejci, Danault. Any of these guys I’d roll with as 3c. Krejci I’d put as 2c.
