Nope, not trading Robertson, chytil has more skill then Krebs, and Goodrow can be 3 C if we need that hard nosed style of game

Fair point. But where/when will there be an opening for Robertson?
We have Fox, Lindgren, Miller, Trouba, Lundkvist and Schneider, and Jones/Skinner as well.

If Buchnevich didn’t bring back anything of this caliber, Strome (who’s a worse player) certainly isn’t
I don't disagree, but Ristoalienen is a steaming pile of shit and he returned a pretty good haul. It's all about the players reputation. Buch is a legit first line winger but was clearly underrated around the league.

NHL GMs are very unpredictable. You never know how they value a player.

Although, I think you're right here on Strome - NHL GMs most likely view him as a product of Panarin and not someone you win with.

Class act by McCrimmon.
This move won't help the narrative that Vegas is an organization with no loyalty.

Players last year were annoyed about Schmidt getting moved and the rumors about guys like Patches. Now Fleury is traded for nothing without even giving him the heads up.

This will hurt them in the long run.

Very true what you’re saying

I think we have a good idea of what Strome’s reputation around the league is though. The Rangers have been trying to trade this guy for over a year to no avail. Basically were going to walk away from him for nothing last summer but realized they had no better options

so I’m not holding my breath on any Risto-like return haha

any trade where they get something and don’t take a ton of salary back I’ll chalk up as a win

He prob gets first pair minutes in Hartford this year and makes the team out of next camp. He’s in the mold of Marc Staal but moves the puck way better.
This year I see

Lindgren-Fox
Miller- Trouba
Nemeth-Lundkvist
Jones
next year I see

Lindgren-Fox
Lundkvist-Trouba
Robertson-Schneider
Nemeth

Miller, Jones, Or Lundkvist will likely be trades for a high end C at some point. Maybe a Eichel, maybe someone else

All the talk online now from fans is that Vegas must be close to trading for Eichel, no way you make this MAF trade unless an Eichel trade was lined up.

It would be insanely hilarious if they traded for Strome instead, making a divisive move like this just to acquire Ryan Strome lol

Arent they also trying to resign Martinez? Could be related to that

They were always going to have to move Fleury. They were the most cap strapped team in the regular season last year. $12M on G is a disaster when they're starved for offense.
