  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. If Buffalo still wants a heavy futures package, Vegas ain't the team that's getting that done, cap or no cap. This move only gives them 2 mill in space anyway.

I think the chances of them being in on Landeskog are zero, so I’m not getting worked up over it

It’s the middle of the off-season and Vince has a job that requires page clicks, it’s not anything deeper than that IMO
 
Vegas had $5.2m in space before trading Flower and supposedly signed Martinez to a $5m per extension. That would give them 12F, 6D, and 1G on their NHL roster with contracts and ~$200k to operate the team. They need this space to sign Patrick, have a 7/8 D, backup goalie, and to operate the team during the year.

Wasn’t long ago we had zero RHS with any kind of ability to move the puck. Since then we got Trouba and THREE guys who has been involved in the top 15-20 in scoring in TDA, Fox and Pionk, and we two top prospects at that position too in Lundkvist and Schneider.

Before those 6 RHS, who was the best puck mover we had at RD since Zubov?

Who would have thought that we right after signing Shatty basically would be — flooded — with RDs?

I am not saying that we will be flooded with top centers in two years. But things change very very rapidly in this sport. The only way to hedge against that is to have flexibility. We have a bunch of long term commitments and a bunch of kids that might require long term commitment.
