His cap hit is a whole lot of somethingVegas traded him for nothing?
"Future Considerations"Since when is it legal to make trades with nothing being sent in return? There's been a few of these lately, but I thought that was against the CBA?
If Buffalo still wants a heavy futures package, Vegas ain't the team that's getting that done, cap or no cap. This move only gives them 2 mill in space anyway.Strome?
I wouldn't be surprised if Vegas pushes a few more pieces out and completes the roster Voodoo to get Eichel.
I agreeYea, but signing a 10M AAV center and 9M AAV left winger will put us in cap hell and we will end up losing the young talent we just acquired. You can’t have Landeskog and Mika and Panarin and Fox all making 9M plus, while paying Trouba 8 and Kreider 6.5. That’s over 50 million in cap space, it’s over 60% of the cap in 6 players and half of them play the same f***ing position.
There's actually a minor leaguer going back in this deal, but the others you're referring to have all technically been for "future considerations."Since when is it legal to make trades with nothing being sent in return? There's been a few of these lately, but I thought that was against the CBA?
Strome plus plus aka prospects and futures, are they not rebuilding? Maybe I didn’t reiterate the + + enoughImagine you were the Detroit GM. How would you respond to an offer of Strome + for Larkin?
I mean seriously people
They think they can convince him. If he retires, what do they lose? Why is Chicago doing this if MAF might retire? They didn't get anything along with him.
Nope, not trading Robertson, chytil has more skill then Krebs, and Goodrow can be 3 C if we need that hard nosed style of gameGeorgiev, Strome, Robertson for Stephenson, Reaves, Krebs...Thoughts?
Probably gonna try to sell him on Chicago and one last run with Toews and Kane. Why is Chicago doing this if MAF might retire? They didn't get anything along with him.
Save the powder, the Cap could be flat for another 3-4 seasons at least.
Wasn’t long ago we had zero RHS with any kind of ability to move the puck. Since then we got Trouba and THREE guys who has been involved in the top 15-20 in scoring in TDA, Fox and Pionk, and we two top prospects at that position too in Lundkvist and Schneider.
Before those 6 RHS, who was the best puck mover we had at RD since Zubov?
Here are the top scorers since Zubov left at RD:

Who would have thought that we right after signing Shatty basically would be — flooded — with RDs?
I am not saying that we will be flooded with top centers in two years. But things change very very rapidly in this sport. The only way to hedge against that is to have flexibility. We have a bunch of long term commitments and a bunch of kids that might require long term commitment.
Roy package or KrebsRyan Strome to Vegas
Lets speak it into existence
Yeah I guess so. Just seems weird. They think they can convince him. If he retires, what do they lose?
