Maybe I've missed it, but I've never seen anyone play the devil's advocate with Schneider (and Robertson for that matter) having such a good season but in a very small sample size in divisional games only. Like Hartford, I take the results with a grain of salt.

Not to say he isn't a good prospect; it just seems like this past season shouldn't move the needle as much as it does for some people.

If Vegas and Danalt get married as speculated then its Eichel for us with Schneider as sweetner...no 72 or 74...Zac -Brandon-1st and Georgiev

Rangers left the table on draft day. No one has them linked recently.
Which is exactly why I think it'll be us LOL they said we were out on Panarin too. Panarin wanted to be a Ranger regardless and was just using other teams as leverage even though he was going to sign with the Rangers either way, even for less money. I think Buffalo knows nobody can beat the Rangers offer but are just trying to get other teams to throw stuff at the wall and hope the Rangers budge, if we don't they will probably cave anyway.

Lol. Gomez bringing in McD has nothing to do with how bad he was. Gomez brought in McD because montreals GM was a brain dead moron.

Drury was our 1C and pretty much played up to his career production his first 2 seasons here. His 3rd year he had a nagging injury all year and his 4th year he missed most of the season before getting bought out and retiring. Drury was a great captain and leader and it reflected because the team played much better when drury was able to play vs when he wasnt in his 4th year.

But im not going to convince anyone of anything. Of all the bad contracts the rangers have handed out, drury's wasnt even close to the worst.

Nothing will beat Wade Redden. We all knew that was bad from the moment he signed the deal.

Holik was horrendous too. That contract was arguably worse than Reddens and is only forgotten because it was in the precap world. Holik may have had the worst contract in NHL history.

lol, you know it’s us. Ever since the Rangers were off the radar in the Lindros draft to suddenly appear with the kitchen sink, when are the Rangers not involved?

I think it's so loaded that you're mistaking the 2023 players for 2022 because of how much these guys are being talked about its crazy that they're still that far away lol. Bedard, Michkov & all them are 2023. That is the loaded one.

not the depth though. Top 10 maybe, but not through 2 rounds from what i’ve read. It’s all based on fewer players due to the lost Covid season.

I think you could ask 5 different people here and get 5 different rankings. For me its
1. Lundkvist
2. Schneider
3. Chytil
4. Kravtsov

If we didn't have Fox I'd have a harder time with it because i do think Lundkvist is better than Schneider on the pp by a lot but as far as building a playoff team Schneider fits the puzzle better here because he can play as a shut down, against bigger players and against heavy forechecking teams something I'm not sure Lundkvist is equipped to do and yet Schneider still does all the things Lundkvist does but maybe at a lesser level, and he'd still take a spot on pp2 behind Fox which is where Lundkvist would end up too.
So i guess what im saying is my list isn't so much a ranking but rather a 'most important to this team' and aren't based on league wide perception of the players mine are more to do with building a better team for ny which is why Kravtsov will rate high with us now needing him to be a difference maker. Schneider and Lundkvist as long as we have one or the other its great so they fall behind Kravtsov for that reason.

Kravtsov
Schneider
Lundkvist
Chytil (he is here because we are talking about trading for a C.)

The top of 2022 is loaded as well with Wright and Lambert leading the way.

Buffalo may legit be out of other options.

I could be wrong, but I've said for a long, long time, I don't see any team beating a four asset package from the Rangers along the lines of:

Buch/Strome/Jones/15OA.

Well, Buch is gone now so that deal has to be tweaked. It probably has to include a prospect we don't want to move. But if I can sub in Schneider for Buch I live with it. It's not Nils or Kravtsov.

To beat that Minnesota has to give up Rossi and Boldy.

This is what Buffalo fans don't understand. No one wants to give up the top of their farm system for any player short of McDavid. If you strip away your entire future, then what is the point of acquiring Eichel? You're just Buffalo all over.

It is why these guys who want out are only ever traded for leftovers.

But it just so happens the Rangers have the best package of leftovers.

We will see - maybe Guerin will decide to do something precedent-breaking and ship away his whole farm and lock his team into first round playoff exits for the remainder of his duration as GM. Won't be smart, but maybe he will do it.

I'm not betting on it though. More likely that Buffalo takes a lesser package just to spite the Rangers cause they are tired of being the Rangers minor league feeder.

Yeah, great, there's that... or like I said, move Schneider for a center first cause Nils is better.

supposedly Scheider alone can’t. So i chose Nils. Despite the latest love fest/obsession like Lundell, neither of these two are being traded at a high so what’s the point?
