I don't see a Stepan signing affecting the Wild's pursuit of Eichel

Stepan to Minnesota
This equation is just leading to Eichel for Kravtsov, Chytil, Jones, 1.
Really do not want him and do not like this puzzle taking shape.
Better not be KravtsovDanault to Vegas

Has Drury taken you hostage over these past couple weeks? Your account has turned into the Drury defense force even though you've always been the guy who scoffs at grit, intangibles, etc. Woof 3 times if you need help!In limited viewings, Blais really passes the eye test.
I do think physicality is a real thing and I do think they're elements to the game that doesn't require the player to have perfect analytics (Blais is nondescript in this department). So I feel like that's a bit of a misconception.
I just need your chart to not be beet red. The Rangers have made a habit out of employing those guys, and like I said yesterday, Goodrow, Blais, and Nemeth are 3-for-3 in terms of tough players who don't have backbreaking analytics.
realy feels like some of the players for Eichel are starting to make other arrangements
Minnesota bringing in Stepan Vegas Danault Krejci is going to go back to Boston
Anaheim is out there haven’t committed to Getzlaf yet
I’d be shocked if Buffalo dealt him to Montreal in division if they had reservations about trading him to NYC
Which does nothing for them. Another year older. Questionable defense. Questionable depth, and that was before Ritchie and Kuraly departing. Even questions in Net as to how long will Rask hold onto the reins.Boston keeping their team together
I scoff at grit and intangibles that can't play hockey. For the first time in my life, the Rangers are not doing that. Excuse me for being happy about it.Has Drury taken you hostage over these past couple weeks? They gonna have to send substantial money back for 3-4 years. Stepan or no StepanI don't see a Stepan signing affecting the Wild's pursuit of Eichel
My biggest criticism is that none of the deals seem like objectively good value deals. All 3 of those fall into that "alright, that makes sense" range. Lindgren was the best deal he gave.If there's one criticism to be had, certainly none of these acquisitions made us quicker.
But the Kings were shower than eternity when they won two Cups. You just have to play slower and make the other team go at your pace as well.
One issue I had with Quinn is that he played too fast for the roster he had.
I’m all over that for Eichel. Move Kreider up, shift LaF to RW if need beBetter not be Kravtsov

Most fans (Rangers, and general hockey fans) agree with me on Drury's moves, it's not like I'm just being some contrarian. Everyone is laughing at us right now. I like physical players who can skate, Blais isn't one of them. Othmann is also regarded as one of the worst skaters in the draft. Skating is the most important skill in hockey and it's like our team is allergic to good skaters lolI scoff at grit and intangibles that can't play hockey. For the first time in my life, the Rangers are not doing that. Excuse me for being happy about it.
I could easily ask the same of you. You literally hate talent (unless it's Buchnevich) but you also hate every physical player we get. Unless Buchnevich has kidnapped you (if so, rock on, that sounds like an amazing time) all of us are absolutely lost as to what you actually want and you're coming off as a DC/NJ Rangers hate account at this point.
They're not. Good value deals are ELC's. That's pretty much it. The league is designed to starve <25 players and massively overpay >25 players. We can't do anything about the overarching league structure we're in.My biggest criticism is that none of the deals seem like objectively good value deals. All 3 of those fall into that "alright, that makes sense" range. Lindgren was the best deal he gave.
Goodrow, 1-2 too many years, but acquisition prior to free agency was good and the cap number is just fine
Nemeth, maybe 1 year too many but fine, cap number is just fine
Blais, should be a very good value contract this year but only 1 year left then RFA, and of course there is issue with the Buch trade return in general (although I don't think it is as egregious as some others, especially if the Blues miss the playoffs which seems quite possible)
Let's see how the bigger and more important moves shake out
I wouldn't say we got slower, we just didn't add speed which was arguably needed. But you can play around it.How much slower did we get though?
We got rid of Howden who was quick-ish but had the balance of a one legged man with vertigo and Buch was our slowest top 9 forward.
He needs a proper send off, even if it's just one gameI wouldn't mind moving Georgiev for a 2nd or so and bringing in Hank as a backup for 1 year...
We do have backup level goalies in the pipeline anyway, and would conceivably maximizing Georgiev's value
