the article says:Montreal Canadiens will go to Buffalo for Rookie Tournament
Six teams will compete in event from September 14-20.www.habseyesontheprize.com
Nemec will do better and the world will burn for the rest of eternity.Slaf vs Nemec
They'll get injured one way or another. It's part of hockey. The whole "never ice kids so they don't get injured" is ridiculous. I mean might as well play barbie if you don't want to get injured ...Unfortunately, it's true that some players want to prove themselves and end up doing something that hurts someone else.
But, these tournaments are necessary because the teams get to see where their prospects are in their development. And the best way to do so is in games. They can only evaluate so much in intra-squad scrimmages.

Nah. They'll be hurt long before then! How many of our prospects will get injured? I wager 12, as is tradition
Id like to squeeze it in also. Where so many high end rookies this year. But quite aways out of way for me.I'm in Burlington. Hoping to go.
It depends on where you ice them. You don't want players getting hurt, but you really don't want players hurting each other in practices or in meaningless games. The habs bailed from this tournament because there were a bunch of career AHLers headhunting to get noticed, and often going after real prospects. There were enough injuries that it wasn't worthwhile to play the few crappy unbalanced games, especially when you have some really young prospects and some way older career AHLers filling out the lineups.Nemec will do better and the world will burn for the rest of eternity.

Exactly. A graduating NCAA player is usually allowed to participate.the article says:
"The unconfirmed format is that teams will play three games each"
"The event is typically reserved for prospects 20 years old or younger"
"Prospects on NCAA teams cannot take part in the event."

Whereas those expected to play NCAA or in Europe this coming season don't get invited.

I could easily check but enjoy posting here. Thanks!Probably not until the end of August, early September.
If I'm not mistaken the Sabres will likely stream it on their website.
Either way, there's going to be a stream. In this day and age if there isn't you dun goofed.
Any invites? Curious if some of the guys like Israel Mianscum who were at the development camp get a second look.
I wonder which prospect is going to get concussed by a no name this year?
Not sure I can help you with the beer. lol There is a Tim Hortons around the corner!I’m not going unless there is some kind of beer garden with food. I’m not just sitting around watching ice hockey without it. I love you guys and gals… but not that much!
