Borg wants a Team of Borgs. The problem is that it's not the best way for All players. Could Svech do more in terms of scoring if He played less like Terminator. Of course.in his junior care er He always played with a fisical edge. But it never Was the purpose of his game to go out and give some bodychecks around. He was and still is a very dangerous player who was focused on scoring goals and create chance for his teammates. I dont say dont back check but to run around cheasing the puck, always forecheck Ing like hell, only rarely produces scoring chance, let alone goals and after a forecheck and a back check you Tank is empty and it's time to change lines. Svech was all about skill, Finesse plays being dangerous every time He was on the ice. He scored a lot of goals. Rod, let him be that player. And truly saying the fact that everybody calls him a Power forward May be it's not the Right path, because before entering the NHL He never was and nevertheless He was quite successful. May be Svech it's time to return to Your origins.

After last night I am now not giving up on this team until the final horn. They definitely lived up to their nickname last night 'Cardiac Canes.' We all thought they were dead and they then they awaken.

If comforts me knowing we can play like absolute crap for 2 periods IN THE PLAYOFFS and still win the game because we absolutely had no business winning last night.

Raanta kept us in it and I've been impressed with his play in the playoffs thus far (just needs to win on the road). Freddie who?

I do not expect Carolina to play the rest of the series like they did last game. I expect every game from here on out to be like the 3rd period and right now it's Raanta 1-Vezina caliber goalie Shesterkin 0.

Credit to the Rangers as well. They played a GREAT road game for 2 periods and then they took their foot off the gas as Brindamour would say, in the 3rd period and it cost them.

Nice to see Aho wake up. He was dormant for the last 5 games in the Boston series. One of our sleeping giants appears to have come alive and in the clutch no less. I have a feeling if he didn't score there Brindamour likely would've pulled Raanta next whistle.

I expect a better start next game and I really liked no penalties. That was a very fast played free flowing game and Carolina showed NY what they're capable of in the 3rd period when they're at their best. Just imagine if Carolina came out like that to start the game.

I hope to see little to no whistles the rest of this series. Let this series be decided on 5 on 5.

expect Rangers to play the body more in game 2. try and slow the Canes down and force mistakes. Not sure it gets to Bruins level of let's run the goalie but Trouba, Reaves, et al will likely look to head hunt.

If Rangers get physical I have no doubt Carolina will match it. We matched up with Boston's physicality well all series.

Regarding the head hunting, this Carolina team is like velcro. Our players stick up for one another. Let them head hunt but they'll suffer the wrath of someone on the Canes by either a fight or a monstrous hit.

Let's not forget we got lucky and they missed like 2 open nets. This was easily a 3-0 game, 4-0 without Raanta doing a head stand.

The team who stole this one was us.
Carolina absolutely stole this, and I think it will be a sufficient wake-up call to the team and for Rod to motivate off of.

I suspect we will not see the same effort level as the first 2 periods on Friday.
