To be fair, this sounds like a complete nothing-for-nothing trade - none of the players involved look like they will ever be NHL regulars. Someone was just hoping to find a diamond in the rough in this deal, but both sides just ended with dirt and rocks...

It's too early to say that about Jarventie. He's always been a boom/bust guy and he just hasn't played this year, so hard to criticize him for that.

All I know is that he had 20 points in 22 games last year for Belleville, while Bourgault needed 55 games to produce 20 points, and yet we were the ones adding a 4th round pick for some reason.

We definitely have nothing to show for it, time will tell what the Oilers get out of Roby and the 4th.

Why did we add a 4th? Shouldn't we only use draft picks for NHL players? Not ahl fodder...

We give draft picks away like candy on Halloween: Joseph plus a 3rd round pick for "Future Considerations" i.e., NOTHING!

Yeah, I was really hoping the trend of needlessly (or what seems to be needless) throwing draft picks into deals would have ended up with the Dorion reign of terror & doom but alas, it continues with Stoic Steve Staois.

I would rather have kept Joseph at $2.95M and not acquired Amadio at $2.5M. We would still have our 3rd round pick too.

The UFA signing of Perron has been a loser.
