Yeah I know, im saying just ask him who hed sign with. No ones trading for him with a year left, during the summerHe doesn’t have a NMC/NTC. He is just saying he won’t sign an extension there. Dallas could trade him to Seattle as a rental.
Seems he got one team in mind
He’s on a contender in a tax free state being offered a boat load of cash so it’s not about winning or the money. Maybe he wants Dallas to trade for his brotherSeems he got one team in mind
2nd behind Kaprizov
...Kaprizov...
No it doesnt.
It's great for clickbait business.I get why teams have trades ready before asking a player to waive their NTC/NMC but like why dont you just ask Robertson where he wants to go lol. This all feels like such a waste of everyones time
Seattle apparently offered him $15M per x 8 wow. He's not worth that. $15M makes him the highest paid player in the NHL.
Welcome to the NHL with a cap over 100milOh yeah. Well Robertson shouldn't be offered $15M per, Seattle is just desperate.
Probably at this point a little of both. Dallas will pay him but not what he's hoping for. He rejected $12 mil per from Dallas and seems to not want to sign with a team that has no shot at being competitive. If any California team comes to the table it's a done deal. Seems like this whole back and forth has soured him on Dallas I think.I know I'm really behind on this but is it that Robertson doesn't want to stay in Dallas or is Dallas unwilling to pay him?
But wants to get paid like the #1 guyI think he does not want to be #1 guy, he wants to play second fiddle.
He doesn’t want to play for a crappy irrelevant team$15M!? Take it and run!
Oh I know. But that is normally always the case though, right? Most teams that have the cap space are likely not in a position to compete today. Or want to keep money for their own impending RFA's and UFA's. If he is making a stink about wanting more $$ than the 12M that the Stars repeatedly offered BUT wants more money and a similar level contender, it is just not going to happen.I think Dallas would be happy to. Problem is finding a team he will sign with, has the assets, has the cap space and is willing to make the trade.
Sharks can. But I am not convinced the Sharks would rather pay him 14mil vs Stenberg on an ELC.
But wants to get paid like the #1 guy
Can’t have both… can he? We shall find out I guess.
Pretty much. Wants to have his cake and eat it too.Oh I know. But that is normally always the case though, right? Most teams that have the cap space are likely not in a position to compete today. Most logical destination for him at this point I think. He should sign in San Jose and take a bit less.
