Back home after game. Stayed for an extra pint due to the win. Brings my record to 4-4 on the season, so I'm not a curse.

General comments:

Nice effort by the boys pretty much all around, not much to complain about tonight.

Refs were weird tonight. Not really favoring Buffalo in any sense, though they did get more calls against Winnipeg, but just weak calls really. Kane's penalty in particular was retaliation and a penalty, but if they call the boarding call that took down Hainsey (how dare they) or any of the other three in between it isn't chippy.

Pavs deserved the shutout.

Hopefully security forever turfs the jackass that threw the empty beer cup at the Sabres as they were leaving the ice. They caught him for sure (section 107 I think, maybe 108) but what a classless move. He didn't hit anyone thankfully but massive loser move and apologies to Buffalo fans for this idiots efforts.

What really pissed me off is that Stuart's penalty was the exact same thing that Hecht(?) got away with on Hainsey.

Honestly though, there were a few calls that the Jets got away with. Hainsey appeared to interfere with a Sabre player on a race for an icing in the 3rd, and it looked like Burmi tripped a guy during the PK for Ladd's trip.

Overall it was a pretty poorly reffed game.

Yeah I saw that, what a moron. If that's the primary holder of those seats, hopefully somebody on the waitlist is made happy. That's bush league garbage.

Wow. Throwing stuff at opposing players is probably one of the dumbest things you can do, short of actually hopping the glass.

I don't know how someone comes to think that's a good idea. Don't toss **** on the ice. It's not that hard of a concept.

I imagine the booze was a factor. Oh well, someone will learn a lesson after losing their ticket.

Dude, seriously?

I normally don't like to pontificate on crowd etiquette, and I can see some grey areas on some perceived faux-pas (leaning, banging on the glass, booing your team, I'm sure there are others).

Throwing stuff at the opposing team is pretty black and white, don't do it. Heckle the player all you want, but don't throw stuff at them. No need for that nonsense.

A little OT but I'll never forget that Bomber game where a fan ran onto the field at opposing players and they knocked him down and stomped him pretty good. Served him right.

Didn't see the game but listened to the radio feed during a very slow night at work

I'm becoming incredibly optimistic about the rest of this homestand. Hopefully the rest of the games around the league will give us a break or two as the regular season winds down

That was a playoff game against BC. I think Carl Kidd did most of the stomping. He was in an ornery mood as it was a blowout. I remember it well too because I had a horrible flu that weekend and called in sick to work on the Monday so all my co workers assumed that was me. :)

Was at that game, remember the knucklehead went after Lions CB Eric Carter. Guy is damn lucky that Bomber players were trying to hold the Lions back. A few of those Lions players (Kidd, I remember Benefield was in there too) were treating him like he had a death wish.

It's funny you mention calling in sick, I remember that game was the day before Rememberance Day. The Bombers killing it and most people having the next day off made that easily the most liquored-up Bomber game I've ever been to.
