  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Kidney with 40 points in the last 15 games and 30 of those points he got in just 8 games. f*** me that's insane.
I think he is our best offensive prospect. I don't think it is out of the question that he plays some game on the bottom 6 in the NHL next season.

Even if its D+2, what he is doing and the talent he is displaying is some top-prospect level things.

That’s McDavid good…..holy crap that’s a boat load of points!!
We have to take age into account tho.

McDavid did it in his DY. Kidney is D+2.

On the other hand, it is Radulov-like production in his D+2 in the Q. Radulov would have been a major star had he not stayed in Russia for 8 prime years.

I think Roy and Farrell are better offensively. I don't see Kidney playing some games in the NHL next year, unless he has a major breakthrough in physical tools.

I do think he's always had this talent and has been a top level prospect in terms of playmaking but still has a lot of work to do much like Roy.

Does anyone see him play? is he playing center? he has 46 points in his last 17 games. Who is he playing with?

His linemates are Olivier Nadeau (4th round in 2021) and Alexis Gendron (7th round in 2022). He's the center.

Both are at 32-33pts in 23 games with the Olympics.

Impressive that his 46 points are one more than what he got this very year with his previous team. In 18 games instead of 31. And his +/- rocketed from -1 to +28.

It goes to show how much the QMJHL stacks their teams after the trade deadline, but also how maybe his previous team was not strong enough to make him shine.

He's a legit prospect, but we saw at the WJC last year and this year at camp that he is not as physically mature as other players his age and that is holding him back a little. I look forward to seeing him play in 2-3 years.

It will be interesting to see what he becomes then.

He's a star in terms of Q quality. Can't ask for better development but three areas he need to improve at are skating, shot power, and added muscle if he wants to make an impact in the pro game. He has the hockey IQ and vision.

Imagine if we drafted him 5 years ago? Our Pool is deep today but it wasn't 5 years ago and he would be pumped up even more back when. Best to stay humble with projections and let the kid prove us wrong.

B+ prospect on the cusp of grade A IMO. What he is doing in the Q is only step 1 of many that gets him to the NHL.
