If the NHL is has become suddenly serious about head shots (and it is high time they do) then Mo is getting a big long suspension

I am not a big fan of cross checks to the head.

I would be disappointed with our Team. I’ve seen Marner ice a game with an EN and an opposing player to tried to take him out with an elbow.

Mo will not be traded. That is highly unlikely.
No Mo will not be traded, I agree, and yes I have seen that to, and he wasn't show boating.
Cross checks to the shoulder and Helmut happen in front of the net, and nobody cares. If he gets 4 to 6 games he should at least cause some damage. Mo is far to nice a guy to be in this mess.

I'm guessing 6 games. Seems pretty similar to the Perron incident, although that happened during the game and not after the whistle, so we will see what the league thinks.

6 should be the baseline for the over/under bet though.

No need to worry he has a NMC until July 2028.

You can already tell this will be the play Parros makes an example of. Doesn't matter how many crosschecks to the head ours guys have taken with little or no punishment. This guy has it in for the Leafs plain and simple. What genius at the NHL thought having a braindead ex-enforcer as the head of player safety made sense?

Those idiots say Rielly should've challenged Greig to a fight. You think Greig is man enough to go? He would've ran like the whelped bitch he is.

There are no standards. Parros has a big wheel in his office. That's how punishment is doled out.

It’s a wheel for everyone else, minimum punishment if it’s against a leaf player, maximum punishment if it’s a leaf that did it.

So long as the DOPs remains consistent moving forward (let’s face it the game is evolving) then it’s fair. Yes Rielly will be made an example of but that is the risk he took when he used his stick instead of just fighting the guy.

This is going to expose the Leafs defense and it will be long since the NHL has an obvious Leaf bias. if it was Boston there would be no penalty and no suspension. Its a joke.
I'm pretty sure Boston has had more suspensions and fines than almost any other team.

Watching the Vegas game last ight and the studio analyst was suggesting that the suspension would be minimal and that Rielly requested the in-person meet not the league.

Leafs cannot be soft and the most suspended team in the NHL. Something has to give, no?

See the thing is the DOPs hasn’t been consistent at all since Parros took over - especially against the leafs. We have more than enough examples now. I think us Leaf fans are rightfully fed up.

The job interview probably only had 4 questions from Gary to George:

1. Are you American?
2. If a Canadian team ever gets good enough to win the cup, will you do everything in your power to make things difficult for them?
3. Considering the Colton Orr incident, what team do you hate the most?
4. Are you willing to work with the refs to implement my plans?

So the Reilly thread on the main boards ends with 192 pages of mostly unhinged, full on Leaf-hatred responses.

Grzelcyk's spearing thread - I think 3 pages
Zadorov's suspension - 6 pages
Dillon suspension - 13 pages

Who's the Center of the Universe?
f***in' right we are

I really enjoyed the Sens moderator posting an opinion piece 8 hours after the thread was closed. Meanwhile they'll gaslight you by saying there's no bias here, no sir.

In Boston Greig would be suspended for damaging the Bruins player’s stick with his head.

The longer the announcement takes the longer the suspension.

This is dragging on.

Oh that would be Gary Bet99man. He would be the one to put him in.
