The fact that JT, AM, and MM didn't even bother jumping in just shows what type of players and mentality they have.
WE all make fun at Phil, Dion and even Bozak. But if those three were on the ice along with JVR, all four of them would had jumped in and get a punch in.

Comparing this to Hunter is downright ludicrous. Hunter was one of the biggest rats in the league and nearly decapitated Turgeon. Greig didn't even suffer a bruise. Big difference.

I would be disappointed with our Team. I’ve seen Marner ice a game with an EN and an opposing player to tried to take him out with an elbow.

Mo will not be traded. That is highly unlikely.

An in-person hearing is such a waste of time. They already know what they're going to do, it's right there on the video of the incident. Not hard to pick that apart.

Maybe it would help if Reilly shows true remorse, but doubtful. They know his history, they know the factors, if I'm him I'd decline the invite and just tell them to let me know when they have a decision. Or better yet, show up and be belligerent. Eat an ice cream sandwich while they're making their little speech. Be Dark Morgan. At worst, they tack on an extra game or two and Reilly gets a little sympathy (from Toronto fans at least) for the excessive suspension.

Then you have something like this happen and the entire hockey world is buzzing with hot takes.

Could you imagine if we played Ottawa again in a few weeks time and the anticipation and buildup there would be before that game? The entire hockey world would be tuning in to see what happens.

Sure no one wants to see an absolute goon fest but at same time it feels like there's a bigtime lack of animosity in the game nowadays and I'm not certain that's a good thing.
