I thought it was justified to what he did for that bushleague slapper.

It sucks that he's our best d-man by far and will definitely hurt the team for the 5+ games that he gets.

The bright side is that it coincides with a soft stretch in the schedule - next five are St. Louis (2x), Anaheim, Philly and Arizona.

It was an embarassing response by Reilly. Using his stick as a weapon, is pathetic. He could have dropped the gloves, but the game was over anyway. TOronto is soft, doesnt care about winning and it showed last night. Reilly would never have done that to Tom Wilson or anyone else who is tough. It was a cry baby move from a soft team, completely made sense given this team has no pride in winning tough playoff hockey or vs non playoff teams dont even show up.

The Leafs are terrible against "lower tier" teams, so it amuses me that anyone would ever refer to any part of their schedule as "soft".

Watching people argue about these kind of incidents is maddening…if it’s your player getting cross checked, 10 game suspension…if it’s your player doing the same cross check, no suspension. Truth is it warrants a 2-4 game suspension and still glad Mo did it

Of course I'm happy, we have at least one player that's not a cupcake. It's not much, but it's better than nothing.

Rielly's a great player and a great teammate, he's the kind you win with. If it doesn't happen here, I hope he can pull a Bourque and win a cup somewhere else before he's done.

Fully agree Mo' is going to get the book thrown at him despite being a super classy player.

We're probably never seeing that parade down Yonge St. but we can cheer on the guys that move on somewhere else that we loved.
