he gets a 2.5m raise , caps supposedly going up 1m and Kessel's retention will be off the books so that covers Rielly .wow thats a great contract. seriously though… how do we fit this all in? i know its been said so many times, but one of the top 3 has to get moved before next season, no?
someone try to draw up lines for next year
should have been given the C to begin with , your right he's a class act and i posted before he didn't look like the type to shop himself to the highest bidder like a common street ho like Hyman didGive him the C. I love Morgan rielly. I actually am a bit emotional, I did not expect this. He is a class act
To be fair, that's a reasonable contract. I like Rielly and his passion for the team.
I'm guessing they're going to make a tough decision on one of Marner/Nylander in the offseason. This is their last chance.
Matthews honestly could have held out for more... he is a generational player. Marner is the issue, he doesn't deserve what Matthews does, he's on a tier below as a player.Surprised Rielly left money in the table after seeing Mitch and Auston take every penny they could. I guess he really wants to be here. Fair deal.
Love it for the short term. The long term might be rough but at that point, you just find a place to put the money....Hello LTIR.
Huge morale boost for the team. They know Rielly could have left and got 8-9 mil somewhere else.Surprisingly good contract. Not because I didn't trust Dubas to negotiate, but because Rielly could have easily gotten 9+ on the open market if he chose to.
With this signing I doubt there’s any cap room left to give Campbell a raise this off-season
