We needed another goal scorer to compliment Gaborik and Richards. I wasn't against it, but the rumored asking price at the time I was.

The shortened season started off well but then they struggled and the rumor mill started about Gaborik. I didn't think Sather would actually move him but he did, and we got a hell of a player back that continues to pay dividends (Brassard->Zibanejad). I still hated the trade though, especially since we essentially replaced Gaby with Nash.

Nash didn't come into his own here until 2014-2015 when he scored 40+ again, and after that deflating run losing against Tampa, that was the best time to move him because his value was high. I was happy for Gaborik to win the Cup the year after we traded him, because he proved a lot of people wrong here and I still cheer for him.

Dumbest thing was moving Gaborik and then firing Tortorella a month later. He would've thrived under AV. The personnel decisions are always a perpetual cluster**** here.

This (almost more Than anything) is the biggest question in my mind, why oh why? Imagine Nash and Gabby under AV!

They traded Gaborik at the right time and got a good deal for him. He had one Nash-like season in 14-15 (20-something Gs, 20-something As). His playoffs in 2014, I don't want to call it luck, but he just happened to stay healthy.

i find it ironic we are speaking about vettes and AM's in a rick nash thread.

maybe an older suburban or expedition might be more appropriate.

one with like 180,000 miles and low compression

In fairness, he's played more than 60 games once since we traded him. It was the right move. Gaborik probably would have been good under AV, but having Gaborik under AV and barely playing doesn't help. Trading Gabby brought us Derick Brassard, which now gives us a younger center in Zibby. It was the right move.

I don`t mind to close this topic - it`s not worth our time to discuss him. It`s has been a topic for years now concerning Nash - he is declining in his last 3 seasons here.

I can't get mad or even disappointed at Rick Nash anymore. This is who he is. This is how he's aged. It simply is what it is.

Vettes are awesome although I prefer C1's C2's and C5's to other versions.

Only way I will agree with your statement is if you mean a 1965 Aston Martin DB5.

I was never a Vette person but the new ones are really really nice.

Dodge Viper, late '90s GTS, is the car I dream of.

I love Vipers. I'm not in to the new Vettes as much as the C1, C2 and C5 generations of Vettes.
If Rick bought me a Vette I would be fine with his production this season so far :)
