He's been playing very well. The team is doing well. Yes, he makes too much – nearly every player at this stage of their career gets paid for past accomplishments over current accomplishments, thats how the NHL works.

I really like him and appreciate everything he's been bringing. However, I'd try to move him if doing so with some other moves made singing Shattenkirk and Smith possible. Otherwise, I have no issue keeping him, he's a solid all around player and a good guy.

He's been good, but if we are to advance and beat the next opponent he's going to need to be even better. I know he has it in him

They'll definitely need him to keep up this pace if they make it the ECF. They need his two way effort to beat either Pittsburgh or Washington.

They need for him to keep up the pace and the effort if they want to beat Ottawa.

Rick Nash scores at a 30 goal pace this season.

Nash ended with 23 goals this season, (+1 compare to JT Miller) - it`s not good enough related to his contract value.
Yes, we all hope that Nash can continue his positive plays in playoffs and score goals.

However who knows what will happen with Rick Nash over the summer, and it`s hard to speculate. And it might be Nash last chance to win something with Rangers this year - so he need to get those crucial goals and show the way with his old sniping skills, and hit the net! :)

He is not the only one, but Nash needs to show up in a very big way on Tuesday. He needs to play like the team's best forward.

Milbury really thinks the Rangers need to move Nash. Even though Nash is not worth 7.8 mill anymore I say we only move guys if it improves the team.

When has Milbury ever had a good thing to say about the Rangers?

Do the opposite of whatever he says...just a moron

Milbury's a moron, but if the right deal comes up, meaning the Rangers can move Nash and get back a package similar to what the Rangers gave up for Eric Staal, and don;t have to take back a bad contract, I think you make the move.

I love Rick and think he was a big part of the success the team has had here in the last few years, but it's time. I think you have to move him to get a fresh look on this team. There's definitely got to be a deal out there. I doubt he pots 40 again, but I think he still has 30 in him.

I'm open to this too. The fact that his salary is as high as it is makes that kind of decision a little bit easier to make.

He is not wrong. If Nash can be moved he should. ONCE AGAIN, when it counts the most and when his team needs him the most, Nash comes up the smallest. Not that anyone showed up over the first 40 minutes, but Nash constantly shrinks as the challenge gets bigger.

Nash will be in his age 34 season next year at 8 million dollars. He's a 55-60 point player at his absolute peak over 82 games. His production is not commensurate with his salary come playoff time.

He's still a solid player but no one will want him at his price tag.

I do not disagree. He might look attractive to a contending team that is bringing him in to be a second line winger. But the Rangers would have to at least eat half the salary and the return would not be fantastic. Or they would have to take a bad contract back.

And in that case, you might just be better off holding onto him and letting him play out his contract. Despite his salary comparison to his skill level, he's still a good two way hockey player for this team.

I do not necessarily disagree, but I would see what his out there. He however, needs to be relegated to the second line. Hopefully he performs as a solid second line player and can be moved at the deadline. No matter where the Rangers are at the deadline.

I think Nash is very good in spurts but those spurts have not added up to a really good season in 3 of the last 4 seasons. I think Nash would be fine at 7.8 mill for 2 seasons but not 1 season. I do not think 39, 36, 38 point seasons in 3 of his last 4 seasons is what Rick expects of himself.

time to go.

next season cannot have him in this roster.

time to make room for vesey and buchnevich to play more minutes

faster, younger, better, cheaper
