He is definitely one of the more streaky goal scorers. If we can have post-Olympic announcement but pre-Olympic Nash, that would be perfect timing.

Baby steps.

Lets hope that he can score a goal against a team that hasn't mentally checked out of the game

You can find players who do 'fine' for a lot less than $7.8 million/year

Agreed, but that's water under the bridge.
If the guy is in a goal scoring slump, at least he is putting in the effort and playing strong defense.

The actual line of demarcation for Nash, when he's not scoring - or barely scoring - is not his effort and his defense.

If we're winning, Nash not scoring is a non-factor. If we're losing, it's a huge factor.

Step 1: Score a goal - Check
Step 2: Score an important goal...

Gotta check off number 2 now. Hopefully this is the beginning of a hot streak for him.

Step 3: Do not fall back into a slump...

If he's on from here on out, watch out people.

Don't know who got the hat but I thought the Rangers should have given it to Dorsett. He was all over the place tonight and is showing some confidence with the puck. Nash deserves it too, to get him going.

So, Rangers win, Nash has nothing to do with it.
Rangers lose, its Nash's fault.
Got it.

Another softie, but it looks good in the box score. I don't think he's on a scoring kick yet, but hopefully this helps his confidence so he can really turn it up a notch.

These softies have seemed more regression to the mean, than him stepping up as a goal scorer. Still, definitely nice to see. But I still want to see more from him - as a goalscorer.

Softy nothing. That shot was an absolute rocket. Placement maybe could have been 4 inches to the right, but it was still a fantastic shot. There was nothing soft about that goal.

So if I understand correctly:

When Nash isn't scoring, it's the absolute quantity if goals that's important. When he is scoring, style and timing immediately becomes the focus.

K.

Don't let your agenda get in the way of that goal. It was a one time snipe from bended knee. And he played a tremendous all around game to go with that goal, so I don't know what more we could have asked of him tonight.

He really picked the corner on that goal.
More of that kind of finishing is nice, look how handy it came in tonight.

I thought it could have been 24 inches to the right...but he put it home and that's what counts.

Please keep going. I pity the team that faces the NYR (should they advance) in the finals, if everyone keeps going as they are now.
