Definitely the right call.........talk about pros - John Davidson handled himself really well and with great class.

Yes proud to have him as a part of the team. I also would add the professional abilities of the broadcasters, for them to have to carry on with the broadcast was very difficult I'm sure and thought they handled it well. Shelley was obviously shaken up but no one can blame him I'm sure.

The right call was made tonight... with that being said, yeah we were up 1-0, but I will take the night off to rest up and prepare for a HUGE game against the wings tomorrow. Assuming Bob will still get the start?

Boy, I don't see where they can squeeze this into the schedule. Maybe Monday April 14?

Looking at the schedule. The 3 dates I would say would be 3/31, 4/9, or 4/14. The 31st both teams are off the 3oth, the Stars are in Washington on the 1st, and the Jackets host Colorado. The 9th both teams are off on the 10th, the Stars are at home on the 7th and we host Phoenix before going to Tampa on the 11th.

Just a year ago the Falcons game was postponed cause Wade McLeod had a seizure on the ice. Some current Jackets players were playing then.

The image of Rich Peverley being dragged frantically into the tunnels was surreal. Can't quite put it into words how horrible that looked.

Re: the lead, we should hold on to it (assuming the game is played later). I have experience with a suspended game, albeit in a far less serious situation (Avs' AHL farm team put the pink paint for a BCA game too close to the ice and the zambonis hit during the first intermission. After the world's longest dry scrape, they gave up and postponed the rest of the game) and the score at the time of suspension held.

Re: the available dates for rescheduling, I am checking the Jackets, Stars, and AAC schedules now and will let you know what I find as soon as I know it.

Not sure how anyone prepares to cover something like this, but didn't think Jody did anything wrong.

No, I didn't imply that Jody did anything wrong and I'm glad he was able to be of help in a difficult situation; however, his inexperience in broadcasting prevented him from reporting what was happening to his audience. The difference in such experience was clear when Metzold took over, he not only conveyed the gravity of the occasion, but was able to impart more info. I'm not condemning Jody, in any way, just commenting on the difficulty he faced as a rookie in a very tough spot. Bill, on the other hand...

All 3 dates are open at the AAC. The 14th would likely be an "if necessary to determine playoff seeding" situation.

The one thing I would be thankful for is that something like this happened with qualified medical personnel within a matter of feet from the bench. Things could have been far worse if something like this happened in his home or anywhere else outside the arena.

The makeup game will probably be after the regular season ends.... and I would assume it would resume exactly as it was when called..

As for the players? I don't know... If I where a judge I would rule the game should resume as close to what it was as possible....

Again, barring injury....I don't see how they can let either team change their players , especially goalies, when this game is made up.......except maybe an exception for a replacement for Peverley

Yes and they should force the teams to play at their respective levels of quality at the time played was halted.

I agree on the 14th and I doubt they'll have Dallas return home in the midst of a 5-game road trip on March 31st so I would guess April 9th would be the most logical date.

Cherepanov's death comes to mind.

If push comes to shove, the 30th could be a possibility as well, provided the game was late enough in the evening to let the Jackets get in from Raleigh.

I would hope they wouldn't try to make either team play 3 games in 3 nights. That would be awful!
