The problem is that we lack higher-end talent and we're wasting tons of cap space on easily replaceable depth players. Dorsett is one of those players.

And people have been ripping Gillis acquisitions since he was hired. But overall, yes, his acquisitions have been better. There's a reason why he won GM of the year.

What "playoff moves"? Prust is the only one. Other than that we traded a goalie for picks, an older dman for picks, and 2 centers of similar age for each other.

Seriously? He traded for a foundational player remember? He talked all about how this team would be better able to do something in the playoffs. This management team was very clear from the beginning that playoffs were expected. Unless you want to suggest he didn't make these moves to improve the team. Which feel free to do so but you will be 100% wrong.
