Really good win. Solid game by Igor. K'Andre spectacular. Everyone played well though.

On the Wilson collision with Trouba. To me that's a hockey play. I don't see Wilson going offline here at all. If anything Trouba's coming at him from an angle and Wilson seems intent on scoring and almost does. And I hate f***ing Wilson but there's nothing egregious there. Sometimes a player gets hurt from a collision....though I don't think I'd consider that a hit on Wilson's part. He was trying to get a shot off.

he was invisible out there. not even a wrecking ball if things werent happening for him offensively. its actually looking like he wont get to gretzkys record now. hed definitely need another 2 seasons after this one, but hed need a selanne type season in his 40s to do it.

Bad thing about Trouba is that he immediately knew there was a problem. Most times guys play a shift or two, then realize it.

Wonder if he broke a bone. Did he look dazed or was it more like he knew something broke?

Played that shift at the start of the 2nd. Nobody knew what happened. But Sam immediately announced he went to the dressing room. No replay at the time or anything. So, I'm making an assumption that he skated off the ice and went right to the locker room. Later on we saw the replay of the hit on Twitter. I didn't see much of the post game show. Did they show the hit?

I hope it’s just a case of a player not being able to do what he always had been.

I hope it’s a case of the player just not being able to do what he once did due to age.

I hope it isn’t a case of some sickness like ALS.

I do not want to speculate, but he wasn’t doing anything like he used to. He was half his speed and had nothing on his shot. He wasn’t hitting or driving any offense. He didn’t look “right”.

hes 38 years old. hes not a guy that relied on great skating technique for speed and power. he was just a physical speciman that flew all over the ice with power and rage. eventually u cant do that anymore as u get old.
