I think a team in a city with great nightlife should trade for Kane. What his career really needs at this point is a lot of late nights in clubs.

As a Vancouverite, I'd jump on this in a heartbeat, but from Buffalo's side, I can't see them giving up Reinhart. He's a top end center in the making, and if he continues to progress, his value will only go up.

I get what you're meaning but the wording is just not quite accurate...
To claim Sbisa is a "good" defenseman is an interesting choice of words. I understand the whole expansion spiel but i highly doubt LV even drafts him. I'd rather take my chances on trading him (if we can get something) then hold onto him in case he maybe gets drafted. Canucks could a) play Biega for 19 games or b) pick up some other D on waivers/ cheap trade that is expansion eligible- "worst case".

Feel bad for Canuck fans. Because it just seems inevitable that it'll be Benning discussing how "we gave up a really nice prospect in Olli, but we really feel that Evander brings something here that we don't have and will help us make up the 10points we need to get into playoff position and help us next year as well... And Jake, well, we liked him but felt his development was stagnating here and that a change of scenery would be best for both parties".

No way do i see Buffalo trading Reinhart, I would think that he's the least available player on their team outside of Eichel right now.

As others have said, Reinhart is not going anywhere. Him and Eichel were the whole,point of the tank. He's basically untouchable. I really like Tanev, but I wouldn't move Reinhart for him.

I may be in the minority among Sabres fans, but I would actually be kind of mad if Tim Murray traded Kane for Hutton straight up. Especially considering all that he gave up to get Kane in the first place.
Say what you want about the off the ice stuff, but Kane brings a ton of on ice value to Buffalo. They don't really have another player like him.
I'd rather just hang onto Kane and either 1) re-sign him long term, 2) trade him at next year's deadline, or 3) package him in a bigger deal for a better defenseman, as opposed to trading him for Ben Hutton straight up. I don't see Hutton as much more than a #4 defenseman and that's not really what Buffalo needs. But to be fair, I really haven't seen a whole lot of Hutton. I've only caught 4-5 Vancouver games this year. I focused on Hutton and Virtanen though (as they've been in the Kane trade rumors for a while) and was not all that impressed. Again though, that is a very small sample size, so it's not worth a whole lot.

If Reinhart is involved Juolevi and a 1st would need to be in the deal plus a roster player. It would take a pretty big overpay to move him, he had a great rookie season and he's a big part of the future plan.

DimJim found someone more out of touch with actual NHL value. Realized Tim Murray was serious about his Ben Hutton demands and rescinded his Dorsett Sbisa offer.
Actually a good move by DimJim not making moves.
