This team has been paying the price for Dolan’s full page add and I don’t see it changing till Jim sells the team.
Cuylle is a Toronto kid. His family should drive over to the situation room and pull a Peter Griffin on those jerks.
The league makes those decisions based on the score. Plain and simple. Redirecting the puck has been legal for a while now and that was in no way a kicking motion. Skating parallel to the net is physical impossible to kick at the net. Officiating continues to be capricious and arbitrary.

I just want to reiterate something Valley said in the postgame show....

He said Quick hasn't been venturing outside the blue paint. Cause that is what Benoit Allaire preaches to all his goalies. This way, they can stay in position and not find themselves in the twilight zone unable to recover. And we all know Quick to be an aggressive goalie who likes to cut down the angles,.. relying on his agility to get back into position. But he is now 37 and can't be as quick to recover as he once did.

But when you have a two-time Stanley Cup Champ, team up with a legendary goalie coach,... that could easily rejuvenate, what is certain to be a Hall of Fame career.

I can't tell you how ecstatic I am, having him on this team. There is no doubt Shesty can learn a thing or two from him, making him even better. And if he gets injured, having Quick under the tutelage of Allaire, and having a team in front of him that can defend, I feel confident we can continue winning more than our share of games.

Speaking of defending, (I know it's early, but I see no reason this can't continue) we are tied for 2nd in goals against. Boston who is leading and Vegas who we are tied with,... are both undefeated in regulation.

That's why I think all goals off skates should be disallowed. Too much is left to interpretation & the one thing we know is NHL refs can't be trusted to get it right.
I've been saying this for years now. Either no goals off skates or every goal off a skate. "Kicking motion" is far too subjective.

Nonetheless 3rd straight game I've missed and 3rd straight win. I might have to keep this not watching thing up

Missed the 2nd half of this game, early flight this morning. Laf continues to score goals, and starting to look like that 1stOA we’d hoped. I saw the Foxy Goal, and it was Foxy, Well not the usual Foxy but it was still Foxy

Did we get outplayed most of the 3rd? seems to be that way. The period I saw thought we looked good. Anyway, I shall be reporting from Orlando FL this weekend and next week, @FultonReed you still down there?

I hate airports.

Oh and better late than never…

Laviolette is the best thing to ever happen to Lafreniere.
TBD. I have a feeling Dan Muse is more responsible. If Laviolette were, we'd be seeing Laf on PP1. Dan Muse's expertise is working with and developing young players. I mean cudos to Laviolette for putting Laf on the 2nd line with Panarin. But the kid still needs to do everything 5v5 because he doesn't get any ice time in any other situation.

- Three goals and three posts
- Plus an overturned goal due to “kicking motion”
- Quick was solid
- 13 continues to improve positioning all over
- 24 is using his body increasingly effectively
- 72 with lots of chances but no room or no finish
- 79 was polarizing: great and dreadful plays

Should start making Lavi one of the poll answers.

Laviolette is the best thing to ever happen to Lafreniere.
Who knew kids crave structure.

Their goalie kept it close. Their coach wears makeup.
And looks like a giant baby born from incest.

Quick - great
Miller - Starting to become noticeable
Schneider- big game for him
Wheeler line - best of season
Laf - continues to do his thing, great sign
Mika - needs one
Fox - being foxy as hell
Bread - Fresh
Trocheck - Quietly very effective in this system
Trouba - Saves

Refs/NHL - can we please have some consistency with the kicked in goals?

Better yet let’s just allow or disallow all goals off skates and take the subjectivity out of the equation. It’s a f***ing joke.

Calgary kicked in a goal against the Rangers last year in the game Laf won it in OT at the garden and it was allowed. How does Cuylle kick in a goal with his trailing foot without lifting his skate from the ice? lol this league is such a joke
