Very good road trip so far.
Panarin looks great. He is engaged in every play and Laf is looking to make things happen rather than just move the puck along. Will be thrilled if he can keep this level of play up. 3rd line was good and should have had that goal. Would love to see the league explain where the distinct kick was...
CK looked lethargic all night which I think affected that line a fair bit. They still seem unsure of each other. 4th line got absolutely caved!
The D was good. We looked a bit suss at times in front of our own net but did a good job fighting through it and Quick played an excellent game

we have to be better.

the mika line has to be better. and the 4th line is truly awful.

we can’t just rely on good goaltending. once we start playing really good teams, those chances against end up in the back of our net. I want to see a more complete game vs. vancouver

I will say I thought we’d go 2-3 on the road trip, winning against edmonton without mcdavid. I’m glad to see we’ve surpassed that.

I don’t want to jinx it but Quick has looked excellent so far. These two games are probably the best he’s looked in 2 years.

That third line was good tonight, Wheeler in particular was noticeable. Thought they deserved that goal. Still can’t believe that’s a kick considering the other plays we’ve seen called good goals. Insanely bad call the league should have to issue a statement or something.

Overall, I think this team is just good. Everyone likes to complain but I think this may just be a good team.

even strength ice time leaders top 3...chytil, kakko, laf. best part is it's not ice time being handed to them, they're earning it. kakko hasn't made as much of an impact, but i think that's as much of a function of mika being a slow starter as anything.

impressive overall game, definitely some egregious breakdowns and turnovers to correct that quick covered up for but they generated a ton of chances when the game was hanging in the balance and finished enough to put er in cruise control late.

Really great game from Quick, this wasn’t like Saturday where the Rangers gave Seattle nothing.

Great to see the Bread line continuing great play.

4th line is unplayable, but that’s every game.

We out shot and out chanced them and the score should have been 5-0. They are comfortable protecting a lead in the 3rd and taking their foot off the gas. This game was never in doubt. 5-2 this year with a new coach and new system and playing 5 of 7 on the road. Not sure what you are expecting. I still think we see even better as the season moves along.
