Rempe needs to get a suspension for that. That was clearely a dirty hit.
PIMs are one thing but when you throw dirty hits that might end careers you've gone to far.
I was longing for Rempe to be called up and play this year but now I just don't know.
He needs to learn where to draw the line or I want him off the team. I he would learn that I would love him on rangers

He was playing a good game up until that hit…He has done this before and last year cost a defenseman on Devils to suffer a concussion with an elbow….Physical play is good no need to lift your arms into someone’s head….No disrespect but Heiskanen is much more of an NHL player than Rempe….Maybe Rempe needs to get a high elbow to his head and suffer a concussion and lose time wondering if he will play again to get it to sink in physical play good dirty shots to the head not good….
Seems more likely somebody will take him out at the knees.
Seems like the current NY Rangers could use an actual good hockey player, as opposed to the Matt Rempe putting up legendary (lol) “rent free/60” numbers. But do you, I guess.

I don't disagree. The Rangers will very likely miss the playoffs and their core is finished. I just find it hilarious and sad that this nothing player gets so much more negative attention because of the club he plays for. After the Maple Leafs, no team is more hated.
Man, it’s wild that a born on third base organization like the Rangers can have such a victim complex. I have no idea where that comes from.
No one cares that he’s a Ranger. He gets attention because he’s a goon and many Rangers fans, not to mention hockey media, have the temerity to try to act like the guy is actually a hockey player. Meanwhile, the guy has more concussions caused than points and a comparable PIMs to TOI ratio.
People try to swear up and down in these threads how Rempe is a good fourth liner, yada yada yada, as if the rest of us don’t have functioning eyes.

His thread has 94 replies. He may indeed be the best player in the game right now. But Rempe, who can't skate backwards is getting all the juice once again.

No one is whining.Just pointing out the fact that dirty shots are no good for the game.
He would be defended by a few fans of every team but the vast majority would call like it as it is . He has played 5 mins a night for 22 games and already has been tossed 4 times and is about to be suspended again . Ranger fans need to just move on from him , he was never an NHL player in the first place , like ever . Just a side show distraction .
I have never minded the Rangers as a team but employing guys like this makes me wonder about management and coaching .

Are you under the impression that dirty hits don't normally spur active threads? Because you'd be wrong.
Consistently dirty players repeatedly delivering dirty hits have more active threads, especially when some people incomprehensibly defend them.
Threads about Wilson's dirty hits have repeatedly hit around 1000 posts on this subforum. Oddly, I never saw Rangers fans defend Tom Wilson's antics as something positive for the league.
Cooke to his credit wasn't actually a bad hockey player when he wasn't trying to catch a murder charge.
Rempe, not so much.

In a vacuum Rempe's hit should be a 2-3 game suspension. However his four game suspension for an elbow just nine months ago means he's getting at least six.
