Any one of:
Marner for the Chief
Campbell for Bower
Matthews for Keon or Dougie
Hyman for Wendel
Reilly for Salming or Horton

That's fine, we just disagree then. I'd go to war with a Lou team any day over a Dubas one. It's not surprising to see the Leafs on ice play resemble Dubas' appearance, while the Isles almost went to the finals.

Isles have privilege of having HOF coach, if you look roster or long term cap wise what Lou has done I wouldn't want him back. He made same mistakes here and also in Devils. They had two cinderella runs and maxed out their roster, but Isles are few roster players away from winning the Stanley Cup. They can't add and they are aging.

If you want to make that GM change, I would go early 90s Cliff Fletcher for Kyle Dubas.

That's pretty sad when Trader Cliff is the best we got, but I agree with the pick. Gilmour for Leeman and later Sundin for Clark will put him at the top spot in spite of all the other crappy trades he made. Draft Schmaft.

His second stint with us was horrible. I didn't want to pick Pat Quinn, because he would trade all of our youth for veterans.

This squad is missing a Vesa'na caliber goaltender in the net. Swap Jack for Toskalol and we're back to the good ol' days of complaining about missing the playoffs and not being bad enough for a lottery pick rather than bitching about not getting past the first round.

Who do you think hired Keefe? Who do you think hired Trotz? Who rejected Bruce Boudreau as an assistant while we're at it?

Well who wouldn't add Trotz if team has no coach and Stanley Cup winning experienced coach like Trotz is available? It was Babcockesque situation that came on perfect timing. No one expected Trotz to be available and there wasn't that much open positions at the time. When Babcock was UFA few teams were waiting.

We groomed Keefe like Tampa Bay groomed Jon Cooper. He had good run on Marlies and think he was even interviewed for NHL coaching jobs. His regular season coaching have been good. I think we'll see next season, if his up to it, but I think Keefe is long time NHL coach, even if he fails here.

Who would hire Bruce Boudreau for even to be an assistant coach? You want someone to teach your players who to choke, how to panic and how to build unhealthy environment within team where you have coaches pets and other players. He isn't even suitable systems coach, since he has no system. Overrated coach, who has failed way worse than Keefe ever. Why would you hire him? You like red? You know what is red? Boudreaus face is red when his helpless and his team is losing. Firetruck is also red, maybe we can buy one with the money we save from not hiring Bruce Boudreau.

Well, I guess dubas did everything right and that's why we are in the Stanley Cup finals. Great gm, great coach, great team right?

You make bad assumptions. I just said that signing Trotz and Keefe were logical things to do at that particular moment. I don't remember that there was any great coaches available when we signed Keefe. Boudreau is a loser and I'm his not here.

I remember a time when we had a GM who has his name on the Stanley Cup 3 times, is in the HHOF and would go on to win back to back GM of the Year awards. If we had him back we would likely be sick of all the winning by now. So that's what I would go with.

Salming for Rielly
Dougie for Marner (Move Tavares to wing)
Wendel for Nylander
Man we'd be in great shape with those moves but if can only pick one I'm going with the stud defenceman we haven't had since Borje.

why would you ever downgrade the player(s)?

I may consider Keon for Tavares, but, maybe Gilmour, but, prob not. Although Gilmour was a pitbull, he played in a higher scoring era, and his game may not translate as well to the goalies in the league now, as he had a "Marner" like shot. Sittler on the other hand was better than Gilmour, and I'd take him over Tavares.
Armstrong may be very famous (for playing so long), but, he wasnt nearly as talented as Marner

Considering the Leafs extensive losing record since 67, not too sure bringing back anyone would help.

A depth one I'd do is Mikheyev for Grabovski

Grabo would be such a good 3c on our team. Hell, give me the entire Kulemin-Grabo-MacArthur line back
