How about Sheldon Keefe out and Pat Burns in?
I think you'd see a much different Clark. The captain of destruction would not be allowed by today's refereeing. Wendel had the ability to put up much bigger offensive numbers had he not been injured all-the-time and played with a center like Gilmour for his whole career. 46 goals in 64 games is not too shabby. He got to play with guys like Zezel who was a 3rd line center at best. But we don't have a center like Gilmour on the team currently. I don't imagine you would want to put Clark with Marner as he might decide to hit Marner instead of the other team, based on principle.Hyman for Wendel Clark
Because when Mclement played for us he was one of the best shutdown Centers in the league and He was making a small fraction of the money Kerfoot makes. We need role players like Jay, making no more than a million, led our PK to be one of the best in the league and was able to shut down other teams top players. Why in gods name would anyone ever think to do this?
I loved Gary at the time but he was too slow for today’s gameThis is such a good pick. I loved Gary.
Then get rid of MarnerTavares out
Gilmour in
this team needs a warrior not a poser
naw , Marner at least showed he could lead a team to a title in jr unlike JT who's been a failure since 15Then get rid of Marner
Marner has been good in one out of five playoff series with us. He gets no credit for what he did with London.naw , Marner at least showed he could lead a team to a title in jr unlike JT who's been a failure since 15
JT has had 1 good playoff series in 12 yrs , none for us and this isn't a JT - MM debate .Marner has been good in one out of five playoff series with us. He gets no credit for what he did with London.
Not to belittle Marner's OHL career, but he benefited from London having the resources to put out an OHL version of a stacked team. It's just easier to win there compared to most other places.Marner has been good in one out of five playoff series with us. He gets no credit for what he did with London.
so did JT and he failed there as wellNot to belittle Marner's OHL career, but he benefited from London having the resources to put out an OHL version of a stacked team. It's just easier to win there compared to most other places.
nah it's cause the ohl has no grit it's basically all star games. if the other team could physically affect him he would have turtled away. Not to belittle Marner's OHL career, but he benefited from London having the resources to put out an OHL version of a stacked team. Ditto. Although I hate the GM far more than anyone else. Would I like Marner at the $8 he should be making? Probably not. But it would be a lot easier to trade.I realized I'm still a Leafs fan. I just hate the core we have. You guys helped me realize I love the Leafs.
