He is a bottom six forward.
Thank you for the valuable insight. Bottom six forwards shouldn’t force the pass in front of their net almost every play. I like REM, I’m just critiquing his game last night, i think he’s better than that

The guy has been traded once and waived once within one calendar year. Do you think Nashville and Minny orgs are dummies ? I am not saying that he has not the talent to be a NHL player, but he has his limitations. Bottom six duties is not bad for that type of players.

No teams draft Martin St.Louis. I think they are dummies to don't draft a HOF player.

You don't find St-Louis types of players and characters on every streets corners. It happens once in a thousand.

You never know what could happen. Habs have let DLR, Scherbak, Juulsen go on waivers...... Once in a while , you have guys like Byron.

I know. But Pitlick can be that guy too. So MIN and NSH can be dumbs to let him go. Pitlick got 11 points in 20 games with MIN and they let him go... that's pretty dumbs to me to let a player go who is on pace 45 points season in 82 games.

Points is not everything. They probably did not like the way he was playing the game. Why does Hoffman is getting lose even if he score goals ? or Galchenyuk ? Other reasons: better players to take his place in their line up.

Points lead to goals....................on a team that starves offense, he is a very important part of the habs this season.
The point of the game is to score goals..........hence getting points is very important....very.
This kid fits the narrative of our current management crew........speed, and some skill.
Sure hope he sticks around for a few years.
We need guys like this, the Wild have so many more skilled guys than us, and the standings reflect this....numbers game with certain teams, are why guys end of on waivers, more often than not.

I see him as top 9 but for a rebuilding team (a little bit like Desharnais). Type of player that can produce with a lot of ice times (like many other players) but contending team will find better player then him on there top 9 that will bring more. His shooting percentage is at 28 % too, he won't continue like that. I'm really curious to see what he will do next year but my expectations are not that high

I hope too he will keep his job in MTL. But don't put your expectations too high. Like Byron, he is a bottom-six player who will chip in some goals and points. Very useful players, but not top-six.

He's got a skating style with the puck that doesn't look top 6. Haven't put my finger on it.

But he has a top 6 effect on the game. I have him penciled in as a great 3rd liner going forward. But hopefully he keeps producing and in fact proves to be a legit top 6 forward. We shall see, but I hope he's here for a long time either way.

Great waiver pickup, Wild made a huge mistake.

It's not really a mistake if it becomes a numbers game. If you are deep on wingers, you're more likely to lose someone on waivers.

Pitlick kind of got lost in the shuffle due to the numbers game, and the fact he is around that age where if you haven't found your niche on a club yet, you become expendable

He looks much more comfortable playing on the wing than C. However it didn't help yesterday he was with two guys who are disasters defensively.

He still has 18 points in 26 games. So what your point? That still way better then Mike Hoffman 25 points in 45 games.
He has to prove that he could be a top six in a longer run. the sample is too small right now.

Yes he does look better on a wing. Hopefully Hughes will get us a real second line center or St-Louis lights up a fire under Dvorak butt.

Wow. I click on this thread and this is the first thing I see. You should be ASHAMED of yourself!
Why should i be ashamed of being right. He's the exact copy of Jordan Weal. Small player with good skating and mediocre everything else. You should be ashamed of yourself if you think Rem can sustain even a one third of his honeymoon-production in future.

It’s been over half a season. You don’t think it’s worth seeing if he can produce?

The name of the game is Good Skating. For a tertiary figure, good skating and mediocre everything else is exactly what the archetype entails.
