Could be a part of the long term picture. Has speed and is at least a quality bottom sixer

I remember earlier in MLS' tenure, he was lauding pitlick's defensive play too.

He's part of the future as far as I'm concerned. Sure, these utility type players sometimes get wedged into a contract liability down the road (although this is the case with many different types of players too), but he hasn't shown anything which suggests they shouldn't proceed with him.

Imo, he has the potential to be even better than Byron. Because he has the speed, but also the hands, and a physique that can make him more effective along the wall. Peak Byron was lethal in spots going the other way after a turnover and getting to loose pucks around the net faster than the anyone. But he was liability when it came to maintaining offensive zone possession because he could easily be separated from the puck.

Robbed of a goal last night.

On top of that, he's got one of the best production rates among ALL rookies.

The rookie thing, I'm pretty meh on. He's a 24 year old rookie. But still
hopefully he does have higher levels he'll develop his game to, because I already like his game a lot as is.

Needs to play at least 23 out of the 26 remaining games to retain RFA status.
