Some of you just love to whine about the refs Boston had 4 pps we had 3. You’ll never play a game where you have 100% fair calls you gotta win sometimes despite them.

This game was lost on the big 4. 3 pps and they did Jack shit. 5v5 and they did Jack shit. At some point your top guys gotta be well the top guys

We pay them 40 mil for what? To get 15 shots and 0 goals? To be an aggregate -4? They gotta step up, the Reffing is what it is

This team has lost in Game 7 in 6 of their last 7 playoff series, including last year by one goal which was waved off when a pick play was called for the first time in hockey history.

They have a losing record in playoff OT since 2016.

And most egregiously, they get very few power plays compared to other high skilled, puck possession teams.

So yes, refereeing matters. Unfortunately, the coach and management share your view and rarely if ever put public pressure.

All I said is that the Bruins lineup tonight isn’t their normal lineup, and I reacted to some posts that had some weird takes. I hope everybody here has a good night, and good luck against the Bolts in round 1.

Not buying the thread title.

Refs were little to no factor. Overtime penalty was correctly overturned.

Schenn penalty was weak, but so was the McAvoy penalty.

Leafs played well. I'm encouraged. Bruins aren't some insurmountable, unbeatable team.

Played pretty well, it ended up being a coin toss which isn't to bad considering were playing in there building and we have very little to play for right now

Our 3v3 game is absolute ****, thankfully we won't see that come playoff time

Keefe needs to start getting his ideal lineup sorted out, the boys need to get some chemistry going and the constant line juggling isn't helping that

I personally have no problem with rival fans coming over if they want to talk about the game in at least a semi respectable way. It's too bad past jackassery had to ruin all of that.

I thought it was a really nice night for us. We showed that we can play with these guys and clinched home ice in round 1. Bring on the playoffs.

For what? Taking a penalty to stop a tap in goal. His penalty extended the game.

He actually had other shifts.

He cant defend worth crap and shouldn't be out against top players late in games.

I honestly think there is another level, we shall see in Game 1, like the leafs shut them down pretty good as well, I just see good things happening call me an optimist, but this team has it!

They didnt really seem that dangerous. Maybe they were off. Sens are more frightening entering the Leafs zone. Maybe Leafs were just that match better defensively tonight.

Brodie played 25, other D were at 22 or less.

Nylander/Tavares had 13.

Its a loss. 3 on 3 isn't going anywhere, gimmick or not. We LOST we take the point and we move on. Maybe for once we can learn to play better 3 ON 3 hockey in REAL Overtime.

What I see is an elite team, but not an unbeatable one. If we beat Tampa I think we beat these guys too

How many times have you seen a defenseman get a penalty like Rielly did on a routine defensive play, not even in an OT situation? Tying up a man with the stick getting up into hands? If that’s a penalty every time, guys like Chara don’t have a pro career.

How many PP’s have the Leafs gotten in OT all year?

Overturning the penalty on Zacha? Sure that’s the right call. Whatever. But how often do you see the officials make sure they get it right for Toronto? It’s not that they were competent this time that’s the issue. It’s the fact that they call the game with bias, personal vendetta (Bunting) and are very prideful in every other instance when they make mistakes.

They're obviously a very good team, top to bottom. I think we've been right there with them in the games we've played this season. They always seem to make us pay when we don't exit the game. If our PP could click, we likely take this one. Honestly, I can't be too, too upset with anyone tonight because as a team -- we worked hard, got dirty, and didn't get bullied, in Beantown. I'm not saying we will win a series if we play like that, but if we are going to win a series, that's how to play. And if Willy can get going again, we're in great shape.

I agree. Tonight I thought the Leafs played a great road game. It was a game of inches.

More importantly, the Bruins showed the Islanders they have hope. The Isles also destroyed Tampa Bay tonight.

Our playoff fate rest in the hands of the refs. If they just called the game normally, there is no reason why the Leafs can't beat TB and BOS.

This is the Lafferty that was advertised. Played with a lot more bite, was on a mission and obviously scored too. Curious to see if the quality of competition gets him going and activates that side of him more.

Samsonov was so confident and rock solid.

The whole team felt very focused and ready to play physical and defensively responsible.

Only real knock would be the lack of star power difference. They played well but no one broke out.
