The rumor was that Erikkson-Ek (who would have been a better fit than Barzal) and Carlo would have been their guys with those picks so Reinhart for Erikkson-Ek and Carlo essentially. OofIf we can’t include management moves (as in not hiring certain GMs) this was the one.
Imagine coming out of the McDavid draft with Barzal also. He was right there for the taking. Other good options there too at the pick. But he was the guy I wanted. The other one was Joel Eriksson EK. Either guy would have been great to have let alone the additional options with the 2nd round pick.
When in retrospect PK was declining at an increased rate. We've made far worse trades than PK for Weber.Maximizing value for Subban in getting picks and prospects back to start a proper rebuild instead of trading him for an older declining player 1 for 1.
No but Huberdeau was signed after the fact. Not worth Huberdeau’s contract
Only one?Post lockout, you get one move to redo at any point, you can fire someone or not fire someone or trade someone or not trade for someone etc. What move would you redo?
Trading Rask for Raycroft, easily.
Still boils my blood to this day.
And still no cup though. Tim Thomas won that thing.

If the Jacobs puppets/good ol boys still living off Raymond Jean Bourque, hit on one of those three picks. Just one. Barzal or Connor or even Boeser instead of thinking they are the smartest people in hockey and swinging and missing on all three they win that cup in 19Surprised the 2015 draft hasn’t been mentioned yet
- Bruins
there are bigger moves they could re-do, but if the canucks re-sign willie mitchell in the summer of 2010 i believe they go on to win the cup so that's the one.
kopitar changes everything so you don't know that. the team could make a lot of different moves by 2011 with him in the lineup. If the goal is to win the 10-11 cup, Kopitar does that better, hell they probably win a few.
Fairly sure the Leafs still suck today if they never traded Rask.Who cares. A Vezina trophy, backstopped the Bruins to two Cup finals himself, and set numerous Bruins goaltending records along the way.
That's far more than any Leaf has been able to say they've accomplished on their resume. Let alone that stiff Raycroft.
That move set the franchise back a decade plus.
