So an employee had his dick out in public at his work in a place where someone was able to see and some of you don’t think he should be fired?

Jesus f***ing Christ guys. People end up on sex offenders lists for this. You can’t just pull out your dick and piss where other people can see. I’d love to hear why people think this is ok.

On second thought, I don’t want to hear. Keep it to yourself.

Context definitely matters with this, and we don’t have enough, but if you pull out your cock and you’re not in a bathroom or your own house, you’re gambling…

He made himself hidden, was in a room that only males have access to and said he thought no one else was in the building. It's not great, but not fireable either IMO.

I’d expect to get fired for this. Can’t just go taking random pisses in the building.

I also don’t want dirty dick hands touching everything. Lots of problems with this. His excuse is literal dogshit.

Well if you truly had a disorder, I'd have sympathy for you if you did.

I mean, you definitely aren't wrong. Imagine if we, as a society, just went around urinating a defecating wherever we were at the time of need. There's a reason we don't.

In 2022, they had to fire him instead of let him retire quietly or they'd end up getting a sexual harassment complaint/suit from the person who went to management about it and it would likely be blown up into some giant mess on social media where the Red Wings would have a fan boycott because of the accusations of them trying to cover up sexual harassment, etc etc, before any actual facts were found out. As such, Red Wings went and did the thing they should have (both because the man took a piss in a place other than a restroom in a building they owned, operated and was occupied by other people at the time... and for business reasons) and fired him. 23 years ago, they'd just send him to Woodstock 99 for a good time while they convinced the complainer that they were in the wrong.

It's also important to disclose these types of things to your employer to protect yourself. It also is a benefit to the employer for affirmative action related reporting.

Genitals out at work = bad

Disorder or not, you can’t do that. If he didn’t tell them he had a disorder, it doesn’t even matter. If he did, things get interesting, but at that point you have to make sure you don’t have to put yourself in this situation.. personal accountability.

I’m gonna guess you don’t use a public bathroom enough to realize how many people don’t wash their hands after pissing…

I don't think it's fine but I don't think he should lose his job for it, if he hasn't received a warning before.

I work at a casino and use them all the time. It’s why I hate it so much.

Trying to find the relevance of this though.

Even if he loses his job, it should’ve been, “Thank you for your service and we accept your resignation.”

This is ridiculous.

If you had a disorder that regularly prevented you from making it "60-70 feet" to a restroom, and the only solution you could come up with was whipping it out pissing on the floor, I would not have sympathy for you

Then hopefully you would never be a manger for someone like that. I can't believe this post.
