I didn't play the first .What's the consensus on this one?
If you played any GTA game, it's pretty much that in a wild-west setting.

+ There are tons of stuff to do, the game is ****ing beautiful, and is insanely immersive.

- Game mechanics suffer at times, combat is not very dynamic (or enemies withstand too many bullets), character movement - like in every GTA game is way too slow (clunking at times), and I do think the game suffers from a bit too much realisim.

As I said before, the pros absolutely outweigh any cons with the game. I love the Wild-West era so I might biased, but there are some frustrations in it which is due to the realism aspect Rockstar was going for.

Ah you’re right it’s definitely the horse stuff that seems to reset everything. Just a hassle to deal with I suppose. Maybe there will be patches or something.
Yeah, I'm thinking that Rockstar will be releasing some QoL patches at some point to handle some of the more apparent annoyances.

THIS is the legitimate consensus. Not the debbie downer contrarian up there, lol.

So yet another question, any idea as to why I can't put on a large mask? I am on my horse, go to L1 + Horse Items and large cloth mask is greyed out. Was gonna use it for some robberies. I can do the bandana, but not the cloth mask.

Amazon informed me that they have finally shipped the game, so my impatient ass should be joining in the fun tomorrow.

Something tells me I won't be ordering games from them for a while....and not just the fact that I have too many to play, either!

Just a heads up- If you press L1 quick it will bring up whatever gun you have equipped. I always have my rifle ready to draw if **** gets real .

On PS4 L1 draws your weapon. If you have your sidearm drawn and double tap L1 Arthur will twirl the gun before holstering it. Doing it after owning a bunch of bandits feels awesome

Divisive. Either you love it or you hate it. The devs went for realism so anyone playing this like an arcade game (which GTA games have progressively gotten away from) you will not like this very much.

Not very far in but this seems to be a perfect description

The first game didn't take itself too seriosuly, got kinda silly at times, but was a lot of fun

This game feels a lot more serious. Great story and characters, and unbelievable atmosphere (music, scenery, etc.) but isn't as fun from a gameplay standpoint

Then again I'm only in chapter 2 so maybe gameplay will pick up

I just got to Chapter 3 and Chapter 2 ended with some epic shootouts

E: WTF, I just saw a mutilated body under a train bridge with the sign "Look at my work".

That freaked me out also. I saw on youtube that whenever you see graffitti'ed quotes like that anywhere they're actually cheat codes you can enter.

Careful with the cheat codes, you can’t save manually and it shuts off all trophies/achievements for the rest of the game
