I'll be playing a ton of this game. When I need a break, BFV will be out in November. Between those 2 games I'll be good for quite a while.

I completely understand the negative reactions. After a couple more hours I’m almost surprised there wasn’t more negative critical reception. It seems to be universally praised by the big outlets but Greg Miller is a pretty notable exception....his take after 20 hours was “I can’t wait to play anything else”. And I get it.

If it was a PlayStation exclusive I bet Miller would say something else. I watched his review and he was almost getting angry at Jared Petty. It was kinda ridiculous.

I’m enjoying it. It’s a beautiful game. I just got to the second chapter but I’m guessing the first one was just to teach you how to play a bit and now it opens up.

So I completed the Legendary Gunslinger side quest a while ago but have no clue how to turn it in. I went back to the same bar where I started the quest and he’s not there. Any help?

Once you get a bounty on your head the game gets super frustrating. Like even when they kill you the bounty is still there so you basically can’t go back in that town without getting wanted again. Seems the only way that I can enjoy this game is by playing missions. Once I start exploring and doing the side stuff it gets really annoying.

I am still in the first chapter and I was simply blown away by the first mission. The life bars and always replenishing your horse and yourself is tedious and not needed in any video game, but the game's pros destroy its cons. This game is probably amazing in 4K.

Twice now I’ve been killed and I swear the bounty went away?, also any post office you can pay the bounty to, so if you are wanted in valentine you can pay it away from that city and it will still clear.

Also can you buy glue to stick the stupid hat on my players head. I’m going through hats like there is no tomorrow. I’ll get in a fight finish the fight ride away on my horse and realize “oh my f***ing hat!!” I know I can have spares on my horse by I go through them too. Seems to replenish themselves though because I still have no clue if I can buy hats or not haven’t reallly tried

LOL. I spent like 20 minutes looking on the ground for my hat after a fight before I went online and found out your horse always stores one.

I just got hammered with the gang, sang some folk songs around a fire, listened to some stories from the old timers, and passed out until noon. I love this game. Now I just need to play some poke.

I keep getting killed repeatedly by bounty hunters. They don’t go away. I know I can pay it off, but when I defend myself from these guys it just increases my bounty even more. I have a$300 bounty in New Hanover and am hunted by bounty hunters every second that I’m not in a mission. It’s a gigantic area and there’s no way to avoid them as I don’t have $300. GTA’s System is so much better. Cops chase you, if you get away you’re fine. If not you get killed or arrested and they take some money and your weapons and you’re back to being safe again. In this game you’re punished for the same crime over and over again. It’s made the game completely unplayable for me outside of missions. I can’t enjoy this open world because I robbed a doctor and killed the police who tried to arrest me. I wish I could revert back to an old save where I never robbed him but it’s too late now. I basically can’t do any fun chaos activities in the open world because it breaks the game if I do.

FInally got out of the tutorial area. I am so bad at shooting. Do people like third or first person better? I wanted to do first person view but it feels weird to me.

I am also really bad with these controls I always hit the wrong stuff

Bounty system needs some fine tuning. I had to defend myself in Saint Denis (I think thats the name) and I got an instant bounty on my head. I tried to escape but the game spawned a swarm of police and I got absolutely destroyed.

I was also smeared into paste by the train while hunting a turkey.

i prefer 1st person for shooting and 3rd for all else. But when shit goes down i always forget to hit the button to change camera angle. The controls are really bad in general imo, they seem counter intuitive.

Third person. It's similar to gta so I'm used to it.

During the tutorial phase after I’m done killing people I’m tryung to loot their bodies and my gang is all yelling at me to hurry up. Settle down damnit I need my trinkets!

Also I agree on the controls. I forgot about Rockstar game controls. They stink IMO. Still loving the game though.

i have a $275 bounty in an area because the cut scene my character said "ill catch up im going to see if there is anything good to steal" so i proceeded to steal anything i could because i had no idea what the game wanted me to steal, the law came and i hadnt got what it was yet so i kept looting until i found the lock box finally meanwhile they are shooting me to pieces.

So many testy douchebags out in the wild. Tempted to go full heel and just start robbing everybody and get the full negative karma trophy.

Still getting very confused in the menus (getting a spare hat out of your saddle is like translating operating systems) but still compelled to keep playing. I love the World they’ve built here and it feels like once I get the controls down it really will feel like watching a movie (because apparently all the HUD and tips and every can be turned off).

I still love auto riding on the cinematic camera for the long mission trips. The atmosphere is just glorious.

So far my only bounty has been $5 for theft because I put the wrong on hat after a fist fight.

Well I paid my bounties but now I’m afraid to do anything against the law which is obviously not ideal in a game about being an outlaw.
Once you get your money up I suspect you won't worry about it as much.
