How is his shot?

He's very good at getting his wrister on net from the point. It's not super heavy but he's very smart with how he uses it. Shoots for rebounds, tips and gets the occasional goal. It's the main reason why he's been able to produce so consistently.

His slapper is quite a mystery. In two years of watching him he's probably taken less than 10 slapshots total. I don't think it will ever be a major part of his repertoire.

You can see one or two nice ”half slapshots” for goals, otherwise he uses his wristshot and shoots for deflections/rebounds with decent results. Shot is easily one of his weakest areas and will limit his goalscoring potential until it improves.

Don’t worry boys. After a few years in the show he’ll hook up with Adam Oates and he’ll get that slapper. The only way he doesn’t end up with a slap shot by the end of his career is if he develops into a Brent Burns-like shooter and if that’s the case then we’ll happily take it.

His biggest adjustment will be making plays with the puck against the forecheck on the smaller NHL ice. He should be able to be even more physical on the smaller ice.

More then likely the 2021/2022 NHL season, Probably would've been on the team this year had the DEL not have been delayed and got loaned to the SHL.

For some reason I thought he was just being loaned to Sweden until the AHL started up and he was due back any time now. Can't go wrong with a full season in Europe though.

The SHL isnt allowing for loans like that this year. You either got loaned for the whole season or not at all

Do you have anything to support what you are saying about being done for the season, or just a reaction to watching the video? It obviously isn't a pretty moment, but I haven't seen anything on what injury, if any, was the result.

To clarify - nothing has actually been reported about him being out for the season. That was just me being reactionary. We'll have to wait and see.

It looked really bad and I will be surprised if he doesn't miss significant time. But it's good that first reports aren't sounding like it's a terrible injury at least.

He had himself a hell of a game. 11 points the last 8 games (9 if you count the one where he walked off injured after 1:41)

Damn that sucks. FYI that could be his 3rd shoulder injury in his young career. Really hope it isn't something serious
