I would actually say after physicality skating is his next biggest strength. Guy can fly and he has phenomenal gap control because he is really gifted agility wise for a man of his size.

The Seider hype-train is quite possibly rolling too fast, but to say his skating will hold him back at the next level is like saying that Caufield's shot will hold him back at the next level.

Skating is not an obstacle for Seider.

He hasn't done a whole lot wrong is why the hype-train has been picking up steam. It is basically his shot... That is all we really want to see more out of. Everything else is there in glimpses and continuing to build. Some of it is there all the time, physicality and skating have advance to elite levels at this point when you watch him.

' agility ' is a key aspect of seider . the agility / coordination he diplays on skates , for any size person let alone a big man , is elite level . and besides the physical capability that takes its also the mental , you realize how smart and quick thinking he is to quickly think up all the manuvers he makes . an extremely rare mix of size , ruggedness , smarts , athleticism . all scoffed when i put him in dahlins league but thats where hes headed , a different type of player but just as valuable to a team

Yeah I agree 100%, his AHL/SHL play has been excellent. He's about as safe a bet to play top pairing minutes as any prospect can be.

I'm still not entirely sure what his offense and powerplay ability looks like at the NHL level, but that's really the only slight question mark at this point.

Because someone tried to say Seider wasnt a good skater, this tweet didnt get enough attention. Hes the best player in the SHL at 19, having never played there before this year. I cant wait to see him in the NHL
What's interesting is that he forms a pairing with an experienced NHL veteran and actually ends up looking like the more mature, stabilizing presence on that pairing. Gelinas is doing a lot offensively, but defensively Seider is the rock.

Reichel - Stutzle - Peterka
Seider - xxxxx

Would make for one of the better power plays in the tournament if they decided to all come.

Not trying to stray away from the Seider talk but I don’t think so. Finland had a good game for my money they just needed to capitalize on the opportunities they had. Finland is too deep imo.

Seider tilts the ice the opposite way for 25 minutes. He would have been important. Before people call this ridiculous he did it last year as an 18 year old in the group of death and he is doing it for the second year in a top 4 men's league. He is able to do it quite easily in his age group.

I don't think Germany has quite enough but they become a lot scarier when he plays half the game.

I imagine in a scenario like yesterday with only 5 defensemen he would have played almost 35 minutes or maybe more than that. Which could have diminished the degree of his impact slightly, but it would have been huge for the team. Also I believe a couple of finish forwards would have seen the ice up close a few more times if they had faced Seider. Would have been fun to see Seider dealing with Samuel Helenius and vice versa. Being older and while shorter, still physically more mature, I would have given the edge to Seider here, but I love that Helenius kid, too. Them matching up could have been epic.
