  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

It does but for their sake they need to get some better expereinced forwards to lead the way, or at least one.

Why they signed Tyler Bertuzzi to that contract I'll never know.
Difficult to know whether 25-26 or 26-27 season should be the push for vet forwards.

With Bert, I imagine that mental fatigue from all of the losing is wearing on him, and others. He plays a role currently, but as the youngsters join the team, he’ll be dropped down the lineup where he belongs, and will do better against that competition.

For me they need to get at least a solid leadership/skilled guy in there next season as an example for the young forwards.

I don't expect the Black Hawks to be anywhere near a playoff spot next year but the young forward group needs more help in developing and they will really reap the rewards in 26-27 and most likely be a playoff team by the following season at the latest 27-28.

-9 in 5 games.

Chicago is a long ways off from being a long ways off. (Comment about the team and not having enough quality players, not about levshunov)

Pair Levshunov with Korchinski and they may each be -100 over the course of a season :)

Yeah, the whole team has been ass. Since the game against Colorado (5 games ago when Lev debuted), every single player that has played in at least one of those games has a negative plus/minus.

Plus/Minus is a flawed stat and it shows a bit with Lev's numbers there. He's been on the ice for three empty net goals against in those 5 games. Alex Vlasic is our best defender, has been even when Jones was here this season, and yet he's a -5 in these last 5 games.

The team has been bad all year long, but it really feels like the young kids can't handle the highs and lows that occur in a typical NHL game. They'll look generally decent (considering) until something doesn't go their way and then they'll just spiral out of control. Lev has been a part of that, but he's not been the sole one responsible for it; it's a team effort to be that bad.

All in all, I think he's been decent. I expect him to go back to Rockford before the end of the season, maybe make room for Rinzel to get a cup of coffee up here after his NCAA season is over. But Lev has shown his timeline is maybe a little closer than some of us Hawks fans thought before he got called up. Where most of us were figuring on him getting another season mostly in Rockford, there is now a clear belief that a solid summer of training can help him solidify a roster spot for opening night next season.

But overall, Levshunov has more than held his own. He has averaged more than 20 minutes a game. Only Alex Vlasic has played more than him in that stretch. With Levshunov on the ice, the Blackhawks are moving forward with the puck more: his 50.55 Corsi percentage is the highest among the blue line since he was recalled, according to Natural Stat Trick. His 57.1 Corsi for rate per 60 minutes is the second highest among all Blackhawks, and his 49.24 expected goals percentage is second to Wyatt Kaiser among the defensemen. Aside from a rough game against the Los Angeles Kings, the Blackhawks have been around 50 percent in scoring chances with him out there. He’s also running the top power-play unit.
