Difficult to know whether 25-26 or 26-27 season should be the push for vet forwards.
With Bert, I imagine that mental fatigue from all of the losing is wearing on him, and others. He plays a role currently, but as the youngsters join the team, he’ll be dropped down the lineup where he belongs, and will do better against that competition.
For me they need to get at least a solid leadership/skilled guy in there next season as an example for the young forwards.
I don't expect the Black Hawks to be anywhere near a playoff spot next year but the young forward group needs more help in developing and they will really reap the rewards in 26-27 and most likely be a playoff team by the following season at the latest 27-28.

Realistically Levshunov seems lock for next year while kids up front will all get chance to win a spot but likely most if not all start year out in AHL

IF its Chicago 1 and SJ 2..I wonder if Chi picks Schaefer and then offers Korchinski+ to SJ for #2 SJ would go for that.

If the hawks take Schaefer, Korchinski is absolutely the odd man out. But not for the 2nd overall pick lol.

Yeah, the whole team has been ass. Since the game against Colorado (5 games ago when Lev debuted), every single player that has played in at least one of those games has a negative plus/minus.
Plus/Minus is a flawed stat and it shows a bit with Lev's numbers there. He's been on the ice for three empty net goals against in those 5 games. Alex Vlasic is our best defender, has been even when Jones was here this season, and yet he's a -5 in these last 5 games.
The team has been bad all year long, but it really feels like the young kids can't handle the highs and lows that occur in a typical NHL game. They'll look generally decent (considering) until something doesn't go their way and then they'll just spiral out of control. Lev has been a part of that, but he's not been the sole one responsible for it; it's a team effort to be that bad.
All in all, I think he's been decent. I expect him to go back to Rockford before the end of the season, maybe make room for Rinzel to get a cup of coffee up here after his NCAA season is over. But Lev has shown his timeline is maybe a little closer than some of us Hawks fans thought before he got called up. Where most of us were figuring on him getting another season mostly in Rockford, there is now a clear belief that a solid summer of training can help him solidify a roster spot for opening night next season.
