I remember playing nhl 97, when most fourth liners were mid 60s so there was more separation between 'tiers' of players, so giroux, Stamkos, Malkin, etc. aren't only around ten overall more than a player like Chris Neil. I wish they'd bring that back.

A problem with that is they introduced new leagues (CHL, SHL, etc.) So, I can see how they would want Chris Neil to have much better ratings than the average junior player. If they try to add more separation between players the system would have to be revamped enough that there is seperation between all leagues like: 99-60=NHL, 70-45=europe leagues, 30-0=CHL.

Please no, they would have to completely change the potential system if that was the case, also players that come straight out of the draft to the NHL would never happen.

You could argue Ekblad is better then SHL players. The potential system needs changed anyway.

Haula will likely be way lower, but he probably in reality should be an 82-84. He is so responsible/smart and fly out there. He is a tremendous young No. 3 center.

Pominville will be overrated. Nice goal scorer but slow and not very dynamic.

Scandella and Spurgeon will be underrated. Both were very good this year.

Koivu should not be more than one or two points better than Granlund but he will probably be ranked by EA as 3-4 better.

Probably missing someone. Left out Brodziak because he's useless and I left off the All Star because he will be gone, sadly.

the majority of Habs fans love Eller, it's our coach who seemingly does not. Desharnais is another story.

I rated DD an 81 when I did this, which is as high as he should go.
