**Keep in mind that I am basing my ratings off both regular season, but also how they have been playing in the post-season, I factor in both. I'll explain my higher ratings and why I gave them. Gaborik had a bad regular season in Columbus due to injuries and such, and was thought to be washed out and a big gamble for the Kings. With 16 points in 19 games and an insane playoffs he has proven that he may be able to play to his NY standards once again, he deserves at least an 88, at most a 90. Kopitar, what can I say about him. He was one of the most consistent point scorers during the season next to being an amazing defensive center nominated for the Selke for the first time. I would put him at a 90 but these playoffs have proven him to be one of the most dominant centers in the league who is fully capable playing alongside those the likes of Jonathan Toews and Ryan Getzlaf, and could easily compete at the same level of players like Stamkos, Malkin and even Crosby. Pearson gets upgraded for his playoff performance, Taffoli has proven to be a great young player and gets an upgrade. Jeff Carter is a 50 point+ player this season and amazing in the playoffs, possible nominee for Conn Smythe, he gets the 89. King gets a slight upgrade from 77 to 78. Stoll is too good on the faceoff to stay at an 82 and gets points here and there which deserve him the upgrade to 83. Williams was good this season, but insane these playoffs, deserving of at least an 85. Clifford's okay, gets slight downgrade. Richards, although had not the greatest season, is still a great defensive player and comes through when the team needs him, he gets downgraded to 86 from 88. Trevor Lewis has been moved down lines and is not great, gets 1 point downgrade. Muzzin has proved to be our second best defensemen and gets the 86. Probably the most controversial, is 93 for Doughty. Keep in mind that tonight during the 1st intermission, Mike Milbury called Doughty the "best defensemen in the NHL". I think he will most likely win the Conn Smythe if we win the cup. Also did you see his goal tonight? Best of the playoffs, simply amazing. I give him the 93 and expect great things from him. He is easily as good as, if not better than Weber, Chara, Keith, etc. Mitchell is okay, 80-81, Voynov is getting good, but doesn't deserve higher than 83 for now, Martinez has stepped up, especially with that goal in game 7 v Chicago, he gets 81-82, and Matt Greene has slowed down, gets a slight downgrade from 82 to 81. It would be criminal not to give Quick at least his old rating back, possibly upgrading him, but only if you also upgrade Lundqvist, I admit that Quick is either equal or a tiny bit behind Lundqvist. King Henrik is still King and Quick is not better, possibly even, but not better. They are the top 2 goaltenders in the league for sure and I don't think you can give one a higher rating because they are so close. Martin Jones came through during the season when Quick was injured, he gets a 77. Regehr doesn't deserve his old 85 rating, and has had injury problems so 83. Nolan sucks. I gave a lot of players high ratings but if you compare them to last season they aren't very far fetched and I gave multiple players downgrades. The only substantial changes are Doughty and Kopitar, but I fully support that they deserve the ratings I gave them.**
