Anyone else hate "hybrid icing"?
"Player safety" might end up costing a team millions in playoff revenue.
I gave him a vote. If he doesn't try to pass that damn thing he has a goal tonight and everyone loves him.
Automatic icing. It takes care of the drama and the injuries.
Talbot in next game.
He did have a great game.
Genuinely surprised we won. That is a typical Ranger loss most of the time. Not a bad game, but the missed chances are pathetic. The opposition goalies are clearly banging on the posts because they know it gets in the Ranger's heads.
BTW, you miss 100% of shots you don't take? Not when it's Zuccarello not shooting!
Detroit gave up around 50 shouts and our D looked porous? They put nearly 40 on Hank without scoring and yet it was only our O that couldn't finish?
Please...
Problem with both is that icing, by definition, is supposed to be an intentional act. An outlet pass that just misses should never be called icing. A deflected pass should never be called icing. A puck that could have been played by the defense should never be called icing.
This new icing "rule" allows linesmen to act like mind-numbed zombies.
What a crazy entertaining game! Tonight was the first time me and my Dad had seats right behind the Rangers bench (My Dad has connections and got two nice tickets). Also got a picture with the Jets DE Muhammed Wilkerson. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Other than Hank and Zucc I thought Staal played another really solid game. Very encouraging.
I thought Poo had a good game played physical
After the awful start of the season, it now seems like the majority of the Metro is better than the bottom 5 of the Atlantic., and on par with Montreal. Take Boston and Tampa out of the mix.
I would not be shocked if the wildcard teams were the Rangers and one of (NJ, Columbus, or Carolina).
I'm not even mad we cant score, what a firework of a hockeymatch this was. In both ends, from both teams.

McDonagh was frustrating tonight. Don't me wrong he was good; created alot and kept Z-berg inconspicuous. But he's gotta start cashing on prime chances.
