Not very satisfied with this win, but a win is a win. The D looked porous, the O couldn't finish, and we got bounces in the 3rd (FINALLY). Thank you Hank though.

Hank played a great game.

I disagree about the porous defense.

I don't know if it was a case of Howard being amazing, or the Rangers lack of finish. Maybe a bit of both.

Lundqvist is down to a 2.58GAA and .914SV%.

He is starting to really turn it around.

Two goals or less in five consecutive games. .920SV%+ in 8 of his last 9 games and 6-2-1 in that stretch.

Playing arguably his best hockey of the season. Good news for us.

If he keeps this up, we will shoot up in the standings.

This is a type of game we usually end up losing. Not today thankfully.

Good to end up with 2 points. woo woo.

McDonagh was frustrating tonight. Don't me wrong he was good; created alot and kept Z-berg inconspicuous. But he's gotta start cashing on prime chances.

Is there a single game that the refs dont try to shove up their *****? that icing thing at the end is brutal.

I thought Poo had a good game played physical

He did have a great game.

Genuinely surprised we won. That is a typical Ranger loss most of the time. Not a bad game, but the missed chances are pathetic. The opposition goalies are clearly banging on the posts because they know it gets in the Ranger's heads.

What a game! Can't wait to see if our improved play at home translates to Ottawa. Ever since Carkner sucker punched Boyle in the playoffs they've been on my top five most hated list. Also, great job by Steps line shutting down Zetterberg--hardly noticed him tonight except when he tried to chop Cally's fingers off.

Everyone will remember the miss, but Callahan played a great game, including setting himself up to miss the empty net

Detroit gave up around 50 shouts and our D looked porous? They put nearly 40 on Hank without scoring and yet it was only our O that couldn't finish?

Please...

Just in from the lockeroom.

Unfortunately, it looks like everyone in the Metro is either winning or getting at least a loser point tonight...

After the awful start of the season, it now seems like the majority of the Metro is better than the bottom 5 of the Atlantic., and on par with Montreal. Take Boston and Tampa out of the mix.

I would not be shocked if the wildcard teams were the Rangers and one of (NJ, Columbus, or Carolina).

Lundqvist 10 wins and 2 shutouts away from owning the Rangers careers records in those categories.

This, and he's only just passed the halfway point of his career with the Rangers. 8 and a half seasons in, 8 and a half to go.

The King has reclaimed his throne; simply an excellent performance. Very impressive. But we do need a first-line center. Kreider is becoming a solid playmaker, and I don't see how D-Step adds value to that line, other than through defensive play.
