Nothing deteriorated. He's scored a few nice goals and other than that we get Brock Lesnar'd when he's on the ice.

Many speculated that it was because of a rookie playing hard minutes, but he's been even worse in his second year with easier minutes.

has become bad at practically everything. doesnt skate the puck out anymore unless there is zero pressure. doesn't make outlet passes anymore, just clangs it off the boards for unforced icings like he's 1999 Rich Pilon.

Why should our PP be awful? We do have 2 NHL top six players, even though one of them is hurt. And we have the great 22.

He's probably not an NHL level defender this late in the year. He's small and light and tries to play a much bigger game than is sustainable and he's worn down visibly.

If he's fresh he's probably an ok 3rd pairing guy if he's sheltered enough.

because he can't stickhandle to something better so wherever the puck is once he gets 25 feet out he has to shoot it.

note: im not saying he CANT stickhandle ever, just not at that point of the rush.
