This is a bad hockey team.
I don't think they are close at all. I don't see them making the playoffs next year.
A solid defenseman is needed. A leader (still super happy with McD trade for various reasons, liked him a lot but movin' on).
A player with true spark and finish. We don't have one on the blueline. A few works in progress, some deadwood.
A real d-man first, for me.

I agree. I just look at what we have on this team and I'm starting to realize how many holes we really have. It's a lot worse than I thought. At first I thought maybe a 2-3Y rebuild, I think it might be a lot longer?

This isn't the case. I was anti-rebuild the whole time. I still am. Generally everyone has maintained their position. The poor poster quoted was just making a completely reasonable observation which didn't in any way compromise whatever their original position was.

Well its started, but most of the leg work has yet to happen.
Bobby Mac's 1st intermission segment was pretty telling. Dropped a nugget about the Rangers possibly making a play for Karlsson this summer but I don't see it.
2019 as a UFA if he makes it that far? For sure.
