All I think about in a game like this is what the Penguins will be once Crosby and Malkin are either shadows of themselves, or retired.
It's a good thought. Something tells me there will be some empty seats at PPG Paints Arena.
Can't wait.
They'll time it beautifully to get their next two hall of famers in the draft.

Gilmour isn't an NHL player. Too many bad decisions on when to join the attack and when not to. Unless you are Bobby Orr with the offense you create, you aren't going to add enough points to make up for the points you lose your team on the other end.

Not sure I see rebuild and the cost of EK jiving in the same concept.
Yeah, I'd say that one's a pipe dream unless we bank cap space for a year and pay him as a FA. I guess it depends how the market turns out this year and who we bring in. Bobby Mac did say we still have more trading to do

Does this team just look mentally checked out? Honestly. I know people don't like to admit that, but that's how it looks on the ice. I know they are a bad team but it's mistake after mistake that a focused team doesn't make.

Huh?

Hank isn’t playing because Georgiev has played well and deserved a second straight start.
If a backup got a second straight start every time (the team played good for him for a game)...maybe building trade bait?

Probably because they're gonna tank the rest of this season, and there's no real reason for Hank to have to deal with this gongshow tonight
I mean I guess, but most of his career has been a gong show in front of him and that's one of what's made him so special this whole time, no?

They'll just tank again and through some undeserved miracle get 2 generational players for the 3rd time in a millennia. I don't think I've ever hated a team more than the Penguins.

So much effort with Fast, not so much skill, though.

Yeah, he reminds me of lias andersson a bit

Yeah, I found that comment from Bob strange...I'd say it depends on what it costs. If Gorton is willing to Ryan's contract, I could see us getting Karlsson at a decent price.

Doesn't make much sense to trade for him, though. I could see Gorton being interested in Karlsson as a free agent, although there's no guarantees he hits the market. Which is where the idea of trading for him comes in, I guess, thinking about it.

I'm sitting here like an ass hole talking to the screen wishing them to stop not giving a f***.

During that entire shift just now Gilmour was just standing in one spot looking around. Head turning trying to figure out life. He really is pure garbage defensively. Too bad that is the position he chose.

Hank has faced an immense amount of shots recently. It really isn’t a big deal to play Georgiev two games in a row (especially with where the team is currently)

He’s more than deserving of it.

I mean he's literally never been on a team that was firmly out of a playoff picture. There's no reason to make him play a pointless game in March when they're trying to put themselves in better position for a lottery pick. I wouldn't want them to risk injuring him in meaningless games, and this is good experience for Georgiev. Henke will be back at the helm in October and hopefully in a new system that doesn't rely on him so much to win.
