No time for baby steps when we are halfway through a shortened season. Scoring is still hard? That's a problem.

Having 36 shots on net, against DAN ELLIS, and scoring once, is NOT good.

6 points away from 5th seed with a game in hand against the Devils, Senators, Leafs and the Jets. 20 games/40 points still left. We have plenty of time.

He could have been an ECHL scrub for all I care, he played good.

Scoring is hard, but we still managed to win. Imagine that.

Barely. That's 1 in the last 4. Yippee.

If they actually get to that seed let me know. Right now they are on the outside looking in.

Devils board is mad about this win. Man, I hope we kick their butts tomorrow.

Yeah they were complaining about 3 point games. Guess they should take a look in the standings who is tied for most Overtime Loses in the League with 6. I guess they don't need those 6 points :sarcasm:

It's getting annoying around here when people always complain and start bashing and ridiculing people's names which is childish in my opinion, and offensive. The guy's name is Del Zotto, or DZ or Dizzy, but Del Idiot, c'mon...So he makes mistakes like the rest of the team, but u can't fault the guy for not trying. He's no Karlsson or Letang, but he's our most creative blueliner, who plays hard most games.

Excited? Hmm. Strong word. Where did I say that?

Don't argue semantics. You are essentially questioning our attitude towards this loss because we are not pleased or impressed with it. Call it what you want. The point remains, you are welcome to feel however you like about this win. I will remain skeptical.

There's a different between being skeptical and acting like a win doesn't count somehow.

Lots of people arguing against nobody in here. Nobody is saying that the team is absolutely on the right track now and all the problems have suddenly disappeared.

A win is better than a loss. Losing 3 in a row is better than losing 4 in a row. Getting 2 points is better than getting 0.

Del Idiot has a nice ring to it.

I'm not. You said I'm excited when I'm not and never said anything like that.

And I'm not questioning you're (plural) attitude, I'm questioning his/hers (singular) attitude when he asked how people could get excited from these 2 points.

I guess it would have been better just plain lose.

Shame on me to trying to find positive things in the midst of difficult times.

Which is why I started this whole conversation with: "Two points is two points, BUT..."

We're not arguing with you, though. My problem is the guy who keeps saying "1 out of our last 5 means this doesn't mean anything" when we've won 6 out of our last 10.

Not good. The team isn't playing well. Everybody acknowledges that.

But to get 2 points after ******** the bed for the last 2 weeks is huge.

I'm all about being positive, and we got a win tonight and a well needed 2 points. Some players played better than usual and some not so much. Be positive, God knows I am, I love when the Rangers win. But in my humble HF opinion this isn't a playoff ready team at all. Work has to be done and this team needs to improve. This game was bitter sweet because of the abysmal 1st period. We stepped it up, but we still have a lot of work to do if we're going to even try to compete in the playoffs.

Let's see how we do tomorrow.
