Post-Game Talk: Rangers vs. Canes | 3/18/13 | Who needs goals?

Finally win a game and everyone is still rustled.

Even in victory, the Rangers lose.

This win gets a big whoopty doo from me. Still can't finish or hit the ****ing net. Still don't play a full 60 minutes. Basically the Rangers sucked less tonight than Carolina.

This. Although certain individuals stepped up. Team is total incoherent. I mean the one goal we did score could have been disallowed in another game. Not to mention, Canes played poorly.

I think Torts has lost a good portion of the bench. Gaborik has completely given up(I guess he knows a trade is happening)...

I'll say it again, this team has too many systemic problems that will be righted in time for the playoffs. Torts is completely ineffectual at this point.

miller played fine.. kreider had a **** start now all of a sudden since hes playing well he warrants a call up.. no no its not that easy.. kids got to work hard down there for a little before earning that right..

talk about this game.. not other stuff..please:sarcasm:
Im not saying kreider was great but he he had some good games. injuries were a factor the bone chip and jaw injuries. He has worked down there for awhile and has been pretty unstoppable since he was sent down

Sorry, but a win that comes on two fluke plays (Ellis getting knocked down and Miller shanking his shot and then recovering) isn't really a win at all. This should have been a 2-0 loss, and that's what the score will be tomorrow if the Rangers are lucky, as they will come out flat yet again.

Both goaltenders were pretty damn hot today.

I would wish people would give credit where the credit is due.

We were getting chances tonight because we opened it up. I'd like to keep that up but knowing Torts and his ADD I think that's too much to ask.

Am I the only one who thought Richards played well tonight? Yeah he was stripped of the puck by Semin, but he was constantly generating offense for the first time in weeks.

Hank
Richards
Miller
HM: Callahan, Stepan, Delly Z

The Good: Offense? Happening? What?
The Bad: Still can't finish. Powerplay makes me cry.
The Redden: McDonagh. Seriously, he's been dreadful the last 5 games or so. His poor play has been a big reason why they have trouble getting out of their own zone, because he used to be really important to that cause.

Big win, hats off to Hank. He stole this one for us. Richards also looked more like himself tonight, and that's a good sign. Good thing we have Nash for shootouts, he's such a weapon

Yes, he was good tonight, lets hope it rolls into tomorrow.

I think he played a solid game. And Semin got the puck because he played really well that situation, he back checked way too well there. Good shots, playmaking, good passes.. Definitely better. Not brilliant by any means, but definitely better.

I didn't know you get more points from a 6-0 blowout than 2-1 SO? :help:

It's ok to have a win like this every once and awhile, but this team is still offensively challenged. Less than 1 goal a game over the past 4. They got lucky today. Talk about missing the big picture.

I agree. But I'm skeptical it's a sign of things to come. Sully was still giving credit to "the forecheck" when quality passing, and skating it into the zone was creating chances on the rush. So I'm not sure they even realize what they were doing.
