Post-Game Talk: Rangers v. Bruins - Game 2 PGT

Goose egg on the PP
MDZ Girardi pairing and specifically Girardi were awful
Hank's god mode wouldn't engage to compensate.

There's no place like home. Let's hope.

Lol yea lets jeopardize his career so he can get us back in the series

i'm just saying it is risky and let me go a step farther...What will that do to the room? It could kill the room, everyone in that room looks up to Richards, none of us know exactly how much he means to the room. He may not be performing on the ice, but he sure means lot in the room by the sounds of the way the players talk about him.

We are making an AHL defense + Chara looking like an all star defense. Ridiculous. When we challenge them we beat them on a regular basis, but they could -- litterary -- put anyone on the blueline and 19/20 times we would just slapper the puck out of our own end for a re-direct down behind the net and never put any pressure on the D's.

Like I said before, this dcorp is a shell of its former self. Sauer, Staal and Mcdonagh. We only have one now.

I'm glad Milbury called Richards out. Shamed by Milbury in the playoffs, ouch. Maybe that'll give him the boost to get his head straight this year or next.

Glad I missed this game. lol I'm missing the next two as well...

Stay positive. Hank won't have two bad games in a row. Going back home. The boys have it at home. Just win the first one. Give the Bruins doubts. Make em realize they can't beat us at home. Put the pressure back on them for Game 5... Perfect world...

Can't be an excuse. Bruins are missing 3 regulars right now and their defenders are stepping up.

Ron Duguay just said the Bruins are not as good as Washington...i'm shocked, I felt they were. just a fun tidbit of info

If negative motivation worked, I think Tortorella would have had him going by now.

Richards needs a fresh start and a new pair of legs.

We looked decent when we crashed the net and stressed rask..

Other than that we got outmuscled and outcoached-so what else is new?

wont have 2 bad games in a row? He just did.

Are you saying that Eminger is as good as Krug or Hamilton?

As a result of Emminger we're forced to essentially play 5 d-men and Girardi looked like a sloth from probable fatigue today. Although I must say, fatigue or not, Girardi made fundamental mistakes.. those tend to be more mental than physical based.

Bruins PK was 76% vs. Maple Loafs, now 100%.

Rangers aren't winning the Stanley Cup no matter what - too much dead wood on this team, and coaching stinks.

So, tasks for the summer:

Del Zotto - learn to skate faster or get traded.

Richards -retire

Pyatt - lose weight and get in shape

Nash - conditioning so you don't run out of gas in the playoffs

Moore - lift some weights, you'll be counted on much more next year.

First game was all on the offense. I wonder if you understand hockey after this statement. Goalies can allow a bad goal and still have a phenomenal game...

No idea what happened in the third. But a timely goal from a Brass-god play or one of Asham-Boyle-Pyatt line (which looked great btw) could have changed the direction of the game.

If we get taken out by Boston it's gonna especially suck because they are so beatable.

Huge positives: With Girardi sucking and Lundqvist not being himself, we were still very much in this game.
Nash is back. Can see his play taking over this series and opening up the ice for other players.

BTW, the Bruins aren't as good on defense as they used to be and look ripe to be taken. They were my original pick to go to the Finals this year, now I think they'll get embarassed by Pitt (unless the Penguin goalies are their usual sieves). But the Rangers won't take them at their present rate.

He'll get one more chance for next season, and then he is gone thanks to the buyout we have remaining...

Coincidentally, that is the same season that Torts contract expires

if he's not injured he should be ashamed of himself. He's the last player that i would've thought would come to NY and fail, but he's a absolute dog on the ice. He's not doing anything on the ice, except failing, but he's collecting that paycheck! disgraceful. bounce back season next year? longshot. i don't want him injured. i want him out.
at least Drury busted his @ss when he struggled...

see above for Richards. Losing Staal is hurting us badly. we have zero net presence, except for screening our goalie.

Let get serious about making a move for Shea Weber this offseason.
I'd love to have him on this team. We've got to be better than this.

Rangers have not tested the bruins young D men at all this series, huge mistake IMO

do you really want to be the one that goes into your boss's office (Glen Sather in this case) and say i'm sitting our 2nd or 3rd highest paid player for Kris Newbury?

I mean if I was not afraid to put my job on the line yeah i'd do it, but that is almost suicide.

Why not do it for a game? Sather has to see Richards is not working out. And Im sure hes not happy with that 60 mill just cruising around the rink.

I think it would deffinitely be open to discussion if in Torts position.

Rangers can't finish (try picking a corner instead of Rask's chest), and we have two or three really bad bounces a game and none in our favor.
